One goal will unlock this game. Chill prople, it's not easy breaking a team that defends so deep. We got this.

We are overreacting. Watford is there for the taking. Once Pogba or even Greenwood comes on, the game will change in our favor. Even with our current lineup, I can still see us getting goal. Nothing special about this Watford team and that break by lingard would have open the flood gates.

Must be all those better players Watford have

Our coaching team cannot coach our players to play attacking football - it really is that simple. Their idea of attacking football is hoofing long balls to the fast forwards to chase and catch defenders off-guard, there is no Plan B, C, D or E. It is literally that one plan for every single game and if the opposition sit back we have no other option.

Playing the likes of Lingard is exactly the reason why I am Ole out and always will be. Absolutely no excuses for that. should have been sold ages ago.

He’s the only player in the midfield and attack that has been able to control the ball. A weird player to take a pop at.
He’s given the ball away just as much as everyone else.

Expected crap half from us. They are poor too so not much happens. LINGARD should have scored. Bring on Pogba and Greenwood.

I thought we were decent against Everton, this is some of the worst we've played this season. Impossible to imagine this is the same team that ran riot against City few weeks ago. Maguire has been decent the rest of them are just not switched on.
    Oh and Lingard is crap

There are two players on the bench who must be brought on in the second half. Every caftard wikis who they are and who must be subbed off for them.

Rashford hasn't been bothered to turn up again against a lower opposition.

If controlling the ball means you think he’s played well then I don’t know what to tell you.
He’s been the best player out of our front six by a comfortable margin. That’s staggeringly obvious. So to take issue with him, above all else, smacks of an agenda.

The quality of football has been so rubbish, I've been genuinely impressed whenever either team has managed to string 5 passes together.

Well the two times it happened I was anyway.

We don’t play with any intensity. This is the main problem, when they’re up for the game we’re fine. Against lower level teams, they play like it’s a kick about. We’re not playing like we want to win the game, not fighting for the ball, not sharp when the ball is there to be won. There was a moment where Martial lost possession, and the ball bounced free, and AWB was stood on his heels. If we were playing City he’d have been on it in a flash, but since it’s Watford he’s half asleep.
I was raging at that. Summed up the first half that moment. Sometimes the desire to win just isn’t there.

So frustrating, every game i look forward to it and hope we play somewhere near the capability of the players and hit some form - apart form raising our game against the higher placed teams a couple of times i always end up disappointed and bored.
bored is the biggest slur anyone can make against Mancheser United. And I'm so bored i've started staring out the window

I thought I was watching Welbeck out there with all the miscontrolled balls from Martial. Does Lingard suck? Absolutely, but the tactics against these bottom sides isn’t helping. Our team should be further up squeezing the space and trying to cut through the box with better movement instead sending everything to the sides to die

Lingard, James and Martial all anonymous. I don't see any possible way we are gonna score in this game unless Rashford has a free-kick chance. I don't think Greenwood can come on and score if there is no one behind him trying to make things happen. Pogba is not match fit to come on and make a difference.

Funny how the sob story was put out there just as a return to form was anticipated.

Unfortunately for him, his PR team and us. It never materialises. Shit feck.
Yep. No excuses, if this carries on until the end of the season, he has to go. He's been useless for over a year. We're not a charity.

What has he done on the pitch to deserve his place? To be starting for us? I don't care about his problems, all players should be treated equally, and if we are, he would be nowhere near the squad, let alone starting matches for us.
Jesus actually read the post before replying. I said “Criticise his performance not his personal issues.”

I would have bought and sold far more effectively.

The squad is dire and exacerbated by a second rate manager.
Yet his knowledge of the game far exceeds yours. He is in the dugout and you are on here pretending to be the ghost of Fergie. Comical how many undiscovered talents we have on this site!

We dont have players who can see a pass. About the fourteenth minute Fred won the ball and passed it to McTominah and the attack just fizzled out. We had a four on four or something close to it. Whereas if that were City or Livepool they would create a chance.

We do be in positions and then just pass it back. Almost as if Van Gaal is back in charge.

    Bring on Pogba for Lingarrd.

Have full sympathy. But then take sabbatical and don't play. If you want to play and take full wages then you need to be 100%.. Physically as well as mentally.
There is no way he could have justified taking a sabbatical due to his mother's illness.

Martial doesn’t do enough to start for us. If our squad was where was wanted it, he’d be a bench player.
If our squad was where we wanted it, most of those starting would be bench players.

Not to mention, he has basically been the only player with any sort of composure in their half.

Typical first half of late, so then I´m looking forward to the second. Fred and Martial (minus all his offsides) have been good. Rashford, Lindeløf and McTominay can only get getter second half.

This will always happen when you have Lingard at no.10 against a team that's playing defensive. Time to test Pogba in that position.

When they're set. Foster is moving and in no mans land. As he is moving forward, just instep curve pass it inside the nr post.

    One nil.
He’s never getting it in that near post having just seen the replay, he could maybe drive it across to the keepers right but Foster is waiting for that as he isn’t moving he’s clearly set.
Personally I’d find it easier going over him than going to the far post which is the only other option but like I said Foster is set waiting for that and there is no way Lingard can bend that round near post without Foster blocking it.

Was a nice ball through from Martial though. The kind of ball he’s been wanting from Lingard all day but Lingard dithering and not releasing quick enough has already led to Martial being caught offside twice.

Passing generally today has been so poor. Even when it’s got to the eventual target either been behind them, slow, or not far enough in front so they can run on to it.

We can throw as many hilarious insults as we like at this team, but in all seriousness they are just shite.

That attempted chip was good but I think Lingard should've really tried to lift the ball, turn around and bicycle kick it.

That was a tough watch. Has to get up and walk around the room a bit to stop from nodding off.
