Time was up on 47:05 when Maitland-Niles picked the ball up 25 yards out and played a pass to his player on the wing too. No intention to blow the whistle then.

He blew up because he wanted to (and was technically entitled to), just like he didn't blow for WBA because he didn't want to. Those three corners easily took away 30 seconds of added time (which was way too short in the first place considering Johnstone took 30 seconds per goal kick from the 5th minute onward)
I agree for sure. He's entitled to blow up then but if he'd wanted to play two extra minutes of actual football he would have let that go on.

An awful first half but the ref was even worse than we were. Did Big Sam pay him or what?

Should be 1 0 up, no way there goal should have stood, lindelof was weak but the strikers hand was in his face! Nonetheless it hasn’t been great, passing sloppy, look unbalanced and Lindelof getting bullied. Stunning finish by Bruno though, reminds me Zidane 2002.

Apart for disgracefull refereeing we should be able to go and win this if TheFA let us. We just need to speed up out tempo in our passing. That means Rashford and Martial cutting out thier love for holding the ball for 10+ sec.

No doubt he would have played on had they got the ball and time to win another corner.

    He is a terrible referee.
    That's it.
He allowed them to take the corner so why not allow the counter to manifest and blow on first sign of it breaking down.

Bailed out by Bruno again. We have been atrocious. Even Brunos celebration looks like he is fed up.
With his own performance I’d say more than anything. Was just saying he’d be pissed off at wayward passes but then he goes and does that

Genuinely atrocious half of football, outside of Bruno going full Zidane. Ref's a twat.

I'm not worried. No way these lot manage to withstand 45 more minutes without conceding at least one more goal, though we need to stop making such games hard on ourselves.

    Eric for Victor Imo.
Rashford moved far left and greenwood on for martial if we are still struggling on 60 minutes

That goal massively papers over the cracks.

    We were pathetic, Bruno especially.

Maguire is our best attacker. Maguire.

Why does Solskjaer persist with Martial? What's worse is forces Shaw to link up with him when they're like repelling magnets together.

Lindelof needs to be gone in the summer.

They don’t add time on for set pieces though. Surely you know that? He Amy have been wrong not to blow before the pass, but he was still right to blow when he did.

I wish Maguire would stop going so far forward, with WBA having 11 men in their own defensive third we really dont need Maguire clogging up the space even more. Also we saw with Rashford once what can happen when players run at pace at the WBA defenders, I hope Greenwood gets a chance to do that at some point.

I think their goal was a foul having seen it now. The physicality is fine, but he puts his hand over Lindelof's face. I mean Lindelof can't even see what is going on.

I still think feck West Brom and take off Fred for Greenwood. If they want to sit on the edge of their box all game then put on another goalscorer and let them play that game. Stick Rashford on the left, Mason and the right and put Martial off of Cavani. Bruno can drop a bit deeper in the few times it'll be needed.

We have been really poor but it is a foul on Lindelof and its honestly a disgrace that VAR had the images we're seeing and gave it.

Oh my GOD! where are the fecking ABU's ? The referee been messing us up all the half.
No way their goal stands, it was a clear foul on Lindelof.
Of course it was. Lindelof was soft but he literally has a hand across his face. Maguire got one disallowed for jumping. The refs are ruining the sport for me. I think the standard is at an all time low.

I don't know why people think he wouldn't blow the whistle there, you don't play on just because there might be a counter.

Ole really needs to have a go at Pawson. It'll be worth the fine to point out the repeated failures by refs in our matches after Klopp, Jose, et al put pressure on them over United.

our wingers don't do enough.Literally AWB nd Shaw are responsible for all wide play. They don't even help the build up centrally. Just hide from the ball, waiting for chances they miss due to not being able to run hard enough, control well enough or shoot well enough. At least rashford on the left would offer some drive and support for shaw.

I know lots of people have a go at our defence... but Gary is right: the real problem is not stepping up and playing offside. I played in goal for more than 30 years and always yelled at my defenders to step up at the first possible opportunity... meanwhile, even souness says lindelof was fouled

we don't have any wingers - that's been the problem for at least five years

Ole would've been fired in March/April last year.
Bruno saved Ole's job and continues to do so.
When Bruno doesn't play or plays badly, we play badly. And it is dangerous for us to be so reliant on one player.
    100%

It's quite mad how reliant we are on one player in one position. God forbid an injury or something, we'd be totally screwed.

What's the point in blaming the ref, he was right to blow the whistle.
We have been shocking again, should blame ourselves.

Martial has been absolutely awful, which is saying something. He just does not give a hoot and his pressing for the goal was comical.
