Completely dominated by a mid table team. Ole just can’t get the team motivated. Fred and AWB are extremely poor. Take the draw and be undefeated for 28 games. Maybe Sancho should move to right and swap out James.

VDB needs to get an opportunity here. That midfield can't get any more toothless anyways. I want to see Pogba moved to LW, Sancho to RW, James off, VDB+Fred in midfield.

    We are absolute fecking dogshit.

I'm afraid that we simply don't have the quality in midfield, or the tactical setup to overcome that deficiency. We can't bring our attacking players into play like this - Ronaldo would have made zero impact.
Also, when you play AWB and James in the same side, we have about zero chance of creating anything. It's a whole side of the field that is easily nullified.

Ole makes adjustments at halftime constantly and we always come out better. Varane and Maguire had a great first half, and Bruno and Greenwood started to turn it on in the last ten minutes. It’s 0-0, we’ve got this

Pogba needs to be pushed left forward and swap Sancho for James. Donny should be playing next to Fred but I just done understand why he isn’t trusted. He’s great on the ball and can manage the press.

James for one of the midfielders makes most sense, I reckon. Either push Pogba back to the left or get a midfield 3 and have Bruno as the false 9

Wow that was a difficult half to watch.

Awful in so many parts, CM non-existent and Sancho looks way off the pace, barely had a kick.

Lucky to be 0-0 at the break, need to wake up or make some changes urgently otherwise we’ll come away with nothing.

Poor first half in the main. However, the difference between last season and this is that we aren't having to mount a second half comeback. Last season one of the many Wolves set pieces would've flown in. We looked secure on set pieces today. I believe, eventually, we will score. So as long as we don't wet the bed defensively we should win.

We need to stop going down so easily, embarrassing. Pogba and Bruno expect a free kick everytime someone breaths on them. We need to be better. Wolves want this.
Well Wolves go down for even less and get freekick after freekick

Shocking refereeing as suspected. It is beyond any reason that this fecking fool can still be a referee in the PL.
The refereeing is world class compared to our own performance... Stop spending energy on the referee. :nono:

Do we actually want to win? Literally spent most of our possession faffing about in our own half.
We don't know how to progress the ball. It's not the players' fault to be fair - there are serious structural problems with the side that only the coaching staff can rectify.

We can't pass the ball forward, so all we do is pass side to side between the CBs.

Bruno drops deeper and a lot of our problems are solved. It’s actually criminal that greenwood has to feel the whole caused by him because he is too high up.
Absolutely. Stupid stupid decision to play him like false 9. Last 10 mins his dropped back so midfield looks slightly better. But he needs to drop further back in the middle. He should be receiving the ball in the middle of the pitch and decide the attack.

Didn't expect to miss McTominay as much as this

Bruno, Sancho and Pogba and we've hardly created a chance. To be fair we did start to look a bit better in the last 10 minutes or so, I think we should still win

Varane has had a decent game, Sancho basically anonymous. Weirdly we seemed to play more down the right, even though Shaw and Sancho are miles better than AWB and James

Thank feck that half is over.

Really, if Solskjaer doesn't trust Van de Beek at all, we should have pushed him out the door and prioritised signing a midfielder. There seems to be very little planning, again. I thought that changed.

How Varane looks so calm is beyond me. He's been there for 45 minutes and more calm than Fred after 4 years.

45 minutes that reveal the true extent of our title challenge. until we get a proper manager, that's how it will be
I fear you may be right
Everyone loves Ole. But if we are to bring in world class players we need a world class coach and have quality in central midfield if we are to be a top team.
Ronaldo never was the answer and this half proves that.

Our midfield has been horrendous. Wolves are all over us. I'm not van de Beek's biggest fan but if he can't contribute here we might as well send him packing tonight.
Yep agreed. If he doesn’t get on he should put in a transfer request. Fred has been absolutely crap and Pogba not better.

After a shite first half we normally turn into prime 70's Brazil so should be ok.

    Varane looks silky as feck.

Other than Maguire and Varane, everyone else has been shit, and/or missing

Take James off, Matic on. Move Pogba up and shift Sancho to the right.

Bit hard on James but Sancho has a higher ceiling.

My contention has always been the midfield. We needed to fix that before getting a Sancho. Anyway, it's done and we just have to get on with it.

There is a fecking massive gaping hole in the middle of our midfield.
Fred has been poor but pogba has been beyond awful.
We are completely disjointed and very lucky not to be one or two down

Someone to provide defensive cover and help organise the midfield wouldn't be useful? A leader in midfield wouldnt be useful?... Ok
Maybe but I see players all over the pitch making poor mistakes, passing has been poor by everyone and again it looks like Ole is relying on individual brilliance

I cannot believe signing a midfielder was not our number 1 priority.

That’s what I expected against Wolves. Let’s nick it second half.

Not sure how we didn't end up conceding there but he's got to bring on Matic or at least someone else who can play midfield for James and play the same setup we usually do.

Van der Beek for James. Nothing against James, he’s worked hard, but tactically we need a change. VdB to sit alongside Fred, Pogba to the left, Sancho right. We need basic possession retention and ball rotation in midfield.
To be fair, Sancho has been much worse than James.

Pogba playing like shit on purpose as a part of the midfield two for the umpteenth time, but OGS still can't take the hint. Let him have his way or just fecking sell him.
