  1. Luton Town in the Premier League? Probably not

Between the two I would like Luton to come up. The thought of Eric Morecambe skip dancing in the afterlife in celebration of his beloved club gaining the top flight kinda makes me smile.
  2. Michael Knighton preparing a hostile bid to remove the Glazers

For those saying they don't want American owners, remember, Liverpool is owned by Americans, and they seem a well run club. I don't want anyone from a place that murders journalists and stuff, but if they actually care about and understand football, they can be from Timbuktu as far as I care.
  3. If you had the choice to pick Pep or Klopp to manage Utd

Klopp if we are talking a hypothetical having never worked at LFC and we are talking today, because I believe he would better be able to restore a broken club, but if we are talking 2013 after Ferguson, then Pep.
  4. Steve McClaren | Yessh our new assistant coach

Many soldiers are great tacticians, but not great strategists. Many coaches are great staff/assistants, but not worldclass head coaches. SM seems to be a great assistant, so I can see why ETH would want him. A great conduit between the club and the new boss.
  5. Captaincy…

Maybe the thing is to start off with a clean slate with no named Captain and tell the squad that attitudes and performaces over the summer in training, and in preseason games, will influence who ETH chooses.
  6. Captaincy…

The captain next season will be whoever ETH wants it to be, and that is how it should be.

Goldbridge can be a prat, but this is true. He wanted Poch in the winter because everyone thought it would be a permanant hire, and it seemed to be between Rogers and Poch and he didn't want Rogers, so backed Poch. When Ralf was hired as interim he was always Ten Hag over Poch for permanant.

I don’t think the people thinking 3 years is enough realize just how far off we are. As long as Klop and pep are in league it will take longer to get to their level with the massive rebuild needed. Sure, if we could trim the squad by 7-8 players and bring in 7-8 players this summer it could...

you are probably right. We are a spoiled bunch. Many say “I just want to see United style attacking football” but what they really mean is I want a Tardis so I can relive 1999.

Harsh on Blind to say Maguire is as good as he was. I’ll take prime Blind over today’s Maguire.

5 years: year one, improved playing style, cut the deadwood, young hungry players that can be coached to greatness. OK if we miss out on Europe altogether as long as a clear path can be seen. year two: progress. Perhaps Europa League qualification, good domestic cup runs, continue to recruit...

This could all go pear shaped, sure, but I like the idea of a complete reset. Given the state of the club now, we need to do what Liverpool did with Klop. He was given time and backing and allowed to see out his vision and that’s exactly what we need to give ETH. It’s at least a 5 year project...
