The Roma game was special. I was 13 (same as the OP) when we beat Barca (and Maradona) 3:0 at Old Trafford in 1984. I was too young to fully appreciate we were 0:2 after the first leg but as a memory that game and the atmosphere sticks in my head to this day.

If we finish the season in the top four and do nothing in the Champions League next season - who would care in a few years that we finished 16/17 in the top four. A couple of domestic cups would be on our honours list forever. If we finish top four this season and win the Champions League next...

As others have said - it boils down to whether it's the 'best player' to have featured in the PL or if it's the player with best PL career. I'd put Roy Keane over Ronaldo if it's the latter. 'Best Player' ever to feature in the PL would be Ronaldo. Rudd Gullit was a very special player too...

I feel for him. Since the press got hold of the whole jose thing, the club should have publicly backed him or sacked him. Not the best time of year for him and and his family despite how wealthy they are.

Some sublime moments. Quality but too few moments to far between. It's not like he'd been here 6 months and was finding his feet. 'Twas time for him to move to pastures new and us to try to find somebody new.
