    It's pretty standard. One party's offer is closest to meeting the requirements, they ask to negotiate alone for a period as it's the most likely route to a deal. That request is either accepted or declined.

    I'd give it to Rashford. Home grown, done admirable things, near enough ever-present and it gives him something extra to shoot for. Doesn't really matter so long as there's leaders on the pitch. Sunday was an anomaly, this team is knackered and has never been made to work this hard before now.
