  1. Luis Gomes | Reports: United agree first refusal for 'the next Figo'

    Finally the new Greenwood.
  2. Virgil van Dijk | Performances

It'll be interesting to see if Klopp is as happy to let his wingbacks bomb on knowing they won't have VVD to cover them. I think them moving Fabinho to CB alongside one of Gomez and Matip is their best option going forward. They can then flood the midfield with the likes Henderson, Wijnaldum...
  3. Paris St Germain vs Manchester United

It'll be interesting to see who our UCL keeper is. Are we going to go with Dave for the league and Hendo for the cups? They are going to be so up for this, we'll either get smashed or you know what will happen again
  4. Paris St Germain vs Manchester United

So hard to tell against a team like PSG. On paper they should beat us. But if we play anywhere near our best they'll have to raise their level from what's normally required of them. Will be interesting, can't wait
  5. SARS CoV-2 coronavirus / Covid-19 (No tin foil hat silliness or memes please)

But 88 deaths. Which is high, granted, but clearly with increased testing we're seeing that the virus is less of a death sentence than first feared.
  6. SARS CoV-2 coronavirus / Covid-19 (No tin foil hat silliness or memes please)

These localised, tiered restrictions and coping mechanisms work in theory but stop in reality. All they are likely to do is create further and deeper inequalities which just bring up, rightfully, questions regarding the true implications of how we are now dealing with COVID. As has been said...
  7. Is Harry Maguire now in the same position as Beckham in 1998?

Not in the slightest. Completely different contexts, and no-one questioned Beckham's quality.
  8. Harry Maguire | 2020/21 Performances

This. It's not like he's given up and doesn't care like Di Maria did. He's clearly struggling and needs fan to give the most basic support. There's a lot to deride and get angry about at the club right now, this isn't it.
  9. Harry Maguire | 2020/21 Performances

Which would be an improvement on our average goals conceded per game so far in the league
  10. Harry Maguire | 2020/21 Performances

It's by no means an ideal partnership, and highlights the shocking lack of quality we have there. But is Maguire more reliable than either of those in his current form? I'm doubtful. On his day, definitely. Not right now.
  11. Harry Maguire | 2020/21 Performances

Timing  But I think it's worth the short-term hit - if it can be even considered that in his current form - to get him back to his best sooner rather than later. We've seen too many CBs just fade away over the last few years. We, quite literally, can't afford the same to happen with Maguire.
  12. Harry Maguire | 2020/21 Performances

Take the armband off him, give him a few weeks off to recuperate, he just needs to be away from the game and out of the headlights for a bit. This genuinely looks like something that could derail his career right now.
  13. Newcastle United vs Manchester United

Hard to predict as there'll almost certainly be a host of new positive covid tests before this match. Assuming everyone is available as of today, we should scrape it. After our 6-1 v City, SAF went back to basics. We conceded 2 goals over the next 9 games, winning all but one. Obviously we...
  14. Coronavirus in football 20/21

Is it worth pointing out that the virus is clearly more prevalent right now than when leagues decided to postpone matches back in March? Is it just a matter of time before that happens again?
