  • Irwin99 replied to the thread Who are the smallest "big club"?.
Spurs, Roma, Villa (?) Everton, Lazio (?) All those clubs have some good history behind them and are usually ever presents in their leagues but never seem to take the next step.
  • That's just the thing for me though, you can't do that at a club like United where you have one great season followed by absolute collapse due to injury or form, it just means you're not reliable. Players aren't robots and you can allow for a...
  • Irwin99 replied to the thread Liverpool will win the league.
It's just hard to see where City will slip up other than at Spurs (who also play Arsenal and Liverpool). I obviously would much prefer Arsenal to win the league but City just have a ridiculous consistency when it comes to this time of year.

    Fecking Arsenal
  • Irwin99 replied to the thread A genuine 3-horse title race?.
Looks like it could be a 4th straight title for City. Arsenal always let you down.

Feck's sake Arsenal. I don't want to endure a 4th straight league title for City. It isn't good for football.
  • Irwin99 replied to the thread Premier League Gameweek 33.
Good. Now come on Arsenal, i don't want City to win the title again
  • Irwin99 replied to the thread A genuine 3-horse title race?.
Knew it would be a stupid game where one of the teams would fall. These are the fixtures you look at and take for granted (I remember United dropping points to fecking Wigan many years ago in a title race  ) Kind of hope City now drop...
  • Trouble is a lot of them have been 'broken physically and mentally' under Ole/Ralf too, and then some of them previously were involved in the 18-19 season where we finished 6th place. Remove the common idea that they're "toxic" or "downing tools"...
  • I agree that we haven't really added to the squad in the best way and if you look at those 'old' Ole players I mentioned (or the ones further back than him) you realise that we've added more players that just sadly are not part of United's...
  • Like Maguire I think it's more of the case that you can blow such an insane amount of money on a player that is probably mid-table quality and still hasn't claimed the RB slot as his own. Again, like Maguire, he's a good player that has some...
  • Ole began 5 seasons ago now, and that's a fair old time to assess if a player is good enough for a club like United. The majority of our defeats this season have involved 5 or more players that have been here since then or before. I'm not saying...
  • Even so, the specific comments he was reacting to were so mild. I honestly have every sympathy with Garnacho if he’s knackered as he is one player who has demonstrated a great work -rate throughout the season and it is on EtH for overplaying...
  • Blamed? It's a player not having a good game being subbed at half-time, it's not a terrible insult, it's just one of those of things. I've seen Sir Alex sub Giggs at half time in matches. Being subbed isn't an insult and giving a very mild...
  • We do have a cup final to play for, especially if Chelsea beat City. I would hope the players still stay on board for that at least. It's pretty much over if he's lost Garnacho now. Can't believe Garnacho would lose it over those quotes though-...
