I looked through the British transfer records, and it seems as though the first £1,000 footballer was transferred in 1905. Trevor Francis in 1979 was the first £1,000,000 transfer. So, 74 years to get from £1,000 to £1,000,000. Extrapolating the same rate, I'll go for 2053 - so it is possible...
