  1. What were the 70s/80s really like?

The years from Sir Matt packing it in to United getting relegated were pretty bad as we went though a couple of managers who weren't really good enough. Personally I think the low point was Frank O'Farrell's last season where the football was dire, he was scared of the job and went very...
  2. Lack of confidence and belief

OP is bang on, I said much the same thing in the "What can Moyes do to turn it round" thread: There was a lack of confidence and a lack of belief against Newcastle. These players aren’t used to being in the league position they are currently and it’s messing with their heads. The way they...
  3. What can Moyes do to turn it around?

There was a lack of confidence and a lack of belief against Newcastle. These players aren’t used to being in the league position they are currently and it’s messing with their heads. The way they reacted to it just isn’t on though. There was no fight, players were hiding, no one in midfield...
  4. Marouane Fellaini | 2013/14 Performances

Agree with this completely. It probably was one of his better games but he still managed to put players around him in trouble a lot of times. It's baffling how slow he is. I'm usually for giving new players the benefit of the doubt but I don't think there is any doubt, he's just not good enough.
  5. Booing our players...

Don't really give a feck what people outside Old Trafford do... those of us in the ground are supposed to be 'supporters'. There's a clue in the name. If you want to boo, feck off and boo in the pub.
  6. Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

  7. Booing our players...

The booing was from a pretty small subset of the crowd but obviously enough of them to be heard. I presume the TV pics showed Nani walking off slowly or something whilst the booing was happening, hence the leaping to the conclusion that was why he was being booed. He was being booed for...
  8. Post match vs Stoke

Still lots to worry about. The pedestrian nature of our play for about an hour... many of our players looked knackered before they started and there was literally no movement off the ball - so on TV you'll see Carrick and Cleverley dithering, at the ground you see that there isn't a bloody pass...
  9. Singing Section One Step Closer

The thing is, back when standing was allowed and most games weren't all ticket, the vocal support mostly congregated at the Ends. You could do that back then because you would pay on the gate and go into whichever section you'd arranged to meet your mates in. People would meet up around a...
  10. Singing Section One Step Closer

It was a roaring success! It's interesting that the SS couldn't hear the Stretford End though and it backs up what many have said about the accoustics, certainly there were periods in the second half when the Stretford was pretty loud. I think it's important the club expand the numbers now...
  11. Reaction of the fans to Moyes' struggles

The vast majority of the match going fans will continue to give him time, the away fans in particular will continue with their vociferous support. We have a job to do and it hasn't changed just because the manager has. We'll get behind the players, including the ones we think are a bit shit...
  12. Player of the Month

Great work MoneyMay... you've got the job! Excellent video, shows how Rooney has been working his socks off which is the biggest reason why the fans at Old Trafford are giving him loads of vocal support. No matter what anyone thinks of him or what his motives might be, he's back to...
  13. Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

All the Premier League clubs have been given £20k to encourage away support - this is what they're all doing with it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk//football/article-2451738/Away-Fans-Fund-What-Premier-League-clubs-spending-200k-on.html
  14. Marouane Fellaini | 2013/14 Performances

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2448243/Marouane-Fellaini-injury-Manchester-United-midfielder-faces-wrist-surgery.html Says he's out for 7 weeks til December.. but it is the Mail..
  15. Moyes So Far!

There were rather a lot of them, not the majority obviously, but getting stuffed by City does tend to irritate even me. Fergie obviously was the angriest of us all! I don't think most clubs think they're looking for a great manager in the sense that Sir Alex and Sir Matt were great managers...
