  1. Paul Pogba | 2019/20 Performances

Thought he was nothing short of disgraceful - utter cowardice for the penalty, and an inexcusably anonymous performance. Attempt to take the game by the scruff of the neck, or be thoroughly outplayed by Declan Rice. He chose the latter.
  2. Bruno Fernandes | 2020 Performances

If the Bruno post-Norwich was the Bruno our scouts went to watch in Lisbon... I'm not surprised we didn't buy him; the criticism of he loses possession too frequently is completely justified. Yet another abject performance, and only marginally better than the appalling Pogba.
  3. Bruno Fernandes | 2020 Performances
Threadmarks: Crystal Palace 0:2 Man Utd

Little bit erratic at times and would have been rightly crucified had Palace goal stood as it was his awful pass that led to their attack. When he turns it on though he seems to lift the team almost singlehandedly. No way was he the MOTM - Rashford (surprisingly doesn't lead the poll, had my...
  4. Victor Lindelöf | 2019/20 Performances

Bar one skinning by Ings early on in the second half, he was near flawless imo - dogged and brave with some crucial interceptions and a fair share of headed clearances. Then he does that at the end. Christ
  5. Aaron Wan-Bissaka | 2019/20 Performances

Thought he was poor today - at times hesitant to make the necessary tackle/interception, and his by now customary lunge in to concede a needless yellow (think he did the same against Villa or Sheffield). Maybe he's exhausted but no excuses for that 3-4/10 performance - also woeful and disruptive...
  6. Diogo Dalot | 2019/20 Performances

Watched him play a game last season - can't remember which but believe it was at Molineux - where in the first five minutes he threw a man with a nice stopover and put a good ball in a couple of times. Since then has looked nothing more than mediocre - not good enough going forward to be a RW...
  7. Andreas Pereira | 2019/20 Performances
    Threadmarks: Man Utd 0:2 Burnley

Absolute disgrace. The worst two performances of any player this season have both come from him (here and Sheff. Utd); how on earth is he a Premier League footballer? Fecking get him out immediately
  8. Nemanja Matić | 2019/20 Performances
    Threadmarks: Man Utd 0:2 Burnley

MOTM tonight (albeit the pick of a woefully inadequate bunch), ball retention in the first half excellent and played a few incisive passes. Second half bit laboured, which sums up the whole team.
  9. Phil Jones | 2019/20 Performances
    Threadmarks: Man Utd 0:2 Burnley

Thought he was pretty good tonight and that his rating is a bit harsh - defended diligently and was solid enough (average rating 3.6 astounds me); certainly the pick of our defenders. Maguire on the other hand was the fourth best CB on the pitch out of four.
  10. Brandon Williams | 2019/20 Performances

Prior to tonight I wasn't particularly convinced by his defensive ability. Thought he was excellent however in a game I'd have expected him to be targeted in - one of the primary reasons for our clean sheet. How refreshing it is to see a left back actually making runs too.
  11. Anthony Martial | 2019/20 Performances

Think this is a bit harsh - combined really well for the most part with Rashford especially in the first half. Only he knows whether the slight delay before the second was to commit the keeper more or not but he scored, I won't hold it against him. Unlucky not to secure the hattrick too (gutted...
  12. Luke Shaw | 2019/20 Performances

Needs to commit himself more and doesn't look to have the sharpness needed for a United standard full back. Disappointing as I thought he'd edged closer and closer to the required standard last season.
  13. Data: What it takes to succeed in the league now vs a decade ago

True - and I'll admit I didn't take into account Ruud into the spending (what a signing that was though) - it just wasn't as if he marginalised defensive spending to go all gung-ho on attackers as other posters may have been suggesting. Not counting Veron in attacking spending
  14. Data: What it takes to succeed in the league now vs a decade ago

Fergie spent on defence; he spent just shy of £11m in 98 on Stam and £30m (a British record) on Rio - he was of course correct to do so, but adjusting for inflation Stam would be similar money to Maguire and Rio probably near £100m. This isn't at all to suggest it was poor spending but we didn't...
  15. David de Gea | 2019/20 Performances

Thought he made a couple decisive saves - Mahrez and Rodri stops were impressive. I was anxious in the first half when he didn't confidently claim the corner City swung in and although I've only seen it once I felt the goal probably was down to the same thing. Not sure whether people agree
