  1. Johnny Giles greatest United XI.

As much as I like Keane and Scholes, imo Robson was a better footballer than both. Robsons only problem was that his teammates were nowhere near his class. You could argue that the WBA-team Robson played for in the late 70s was better than any United-team he played for in the 80s
  2. Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)

I have been critical of Pochettino, but I have never said he isn't a good manager. I just think he gets very much praise considering his managerial record. He was mediocre at Espanyol - he was good at Southampton, but he also inherited a very good Southampton-side. And he was brilliant for...
  3. Rank United's strikers over the last 30 years

McClair doesn't belong there - he played about 2 seasons as a striker before being moved back into midfield. Correction - I checked - he played 3 Seasons as a striker - so ok..he belongs there
  4. How good was David Beckham?

Good footballer with the best set-pieces the premier League has ever seen. Just checked - Beckham is in a League of his own in goals from freekicks. He scored 18 - no other player has more than 12
  5. Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)

I am not saying Pochettino is a bad manager - of course he isn't - but he is not as brilliant as he is hyped up to be. As for the Southampton-team he took over - it was a really good side. The sacking of Nigel Adkins however was strange - he had an absolutely awful start to the season With...
  6. What has been you favourite season purely league wise?

92/93 - one of the best moments of my life was that Blackburn-game. When Pallister hammered home that freekick, I was standing in the pub with tears in my eyes. It was like in that moment it sunk in. We had won the League - even if we won it 3-4 days earlier.
  7. Top 3 United goals. 1989 - Present

2 goals stand out for me - if you look at the actual goal - it surely is Rooney's goal against City. But my favourite team-goal was the one Alan Smith scored against Roma. 5 one-touch passes before Smith scores
  8. Ole guesses his United players from childhood pictures

DDG was the easiest .. he looked exactly the same :=)
  9. Our bogey teams over the years

We also had some horrible results against WBA in the late 70s and early 80s - but in fairness they had a really good side back then, whereas - we didn't But once we got hold of Robson and Atkinson - it changed
  10. Our bogey teams over the years

Norwich in the late 80s without a doubt - from 1988 to 1990, the Canaries beat us 5 times in a row. To my knowledge, the only team to beat Ferguson 5 times in a row. And to make matters worse - if we look at november 1985 to february 1991 - the stats are 2-3-7
  11. Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)

Well in fairness there are a few posters here who are perfectly capable of recommending sacking OGS because he was to blame for the Corona-virus
  12. United 1977/78 Season Review

    Yeah thought I would start with 78/79 today… :)
  13. United 1977/78 Season Review

Yeah I heard there was a poll for Sexton Out - but they had to change name of the pro-Sexton because Sextin was not accepted by the admins
  14. United 1977/78 Season Review

I was horribly bored - so I thought I would do a season review of Dave Sextons first season in charge. A lot of youtube, google and books - and this is what I ended up with. There might be some errors here and there as I couldnt be bothered to check for errors and typos :) Enjoy if you can be...
  15. Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)

So just because the players fitness arguably has improved a lot in 12 months - but they aren't all able to run around like Ji Sung Park for 90 minutes we should fire the manager.
