  1. Which player had the biggest purple patch followed by the steepest decline?

Papiss Cisse - the goal against Chelsea was something else.
  2. Sky Sports: Sir Alex Ferguson opens up to Gary Neville on his incredible career in football

This was more real than the documentary for me, the way that he sat up when Gary Nev asked why Fergie kept him on despite knowing that he was past it. But of course he didn't give a real answer!
  3. Your favourite assists

Can't see anything here but loved the commentary: Better video here:
  4. Title winning campaigns by non-elite clubs

That was really amazing since they beat PSG when they were already rich. Nantes as well in the beginning of the century, remember us playing them in the CL.
  5. SARS CoV-2 coronavirus / Covid-19 (No tin foil hat silliness please)

Just to add on to what @sglowrider and @Lj82 have said - I strongly disagree we should come out anywhere near the top compared to the likes of South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan in Asia especially since we have been through SARS as well. It's funny how some politicians here were openly mocking HK...
  6. Evans vs Brown vs Smalling vs Jones as Centre Back

Thread drift but anyone else finds it bizarre that Brown was frozen out after such a successful season in 07/08? He barely played for us again, even with the emergence of Rafael he wasn't even in the squad most of the time.
  7. SARS CoV-2 coronavirus / Covid-19 (No tin foil hat silliness please)

Cases in community are low and are mostly limited to foreign worker dormitories, most of whom work in construction and thus are fitter and healthier. The government screwed up with the awful living conditions for these workers which precipitated the spread, it is pretty much out of control now...
  8. Olympique Lyonnais - 2000-2008...

That was the amazing thing though, none of them other than Houllier had success anywhere else. How did they do it? Wasn't as if competition was that weak at the time with the Monaco team that reached the CL final and Marseille with Drogba who reached the UEFA cup final.
  9. Sir Alex Ferguson feeling "isolated"

I love SAF as much as anyone but this sounds like a preemptive move to distance himself from the potential disaster of next season. Like how he quickly denied responsibility for Moyes (fifth choice) and Mourinho to a lesser extent.
  10. Phelan doubts about signing up

Phelan may have the club's interests at heart yada yada but it smacks of people who latched onto SAF's genius trying to blag their way into a job way above their competence level (not referring to Ole here but more of Phelan, Rene).
  11. Anthony Martial | 2018/19 Performances

Moments player but wish Mourinho would play him higher up the pitch and closer to the goal to get more of those moments. Hugging the touchline and expecting him to beat 2/3 men doesn't maximise his talent.
  12. Victor Lindelöf | 2018/19 Performances

He still looks like a work experience kid at times and some of his clearances have zero conviction.
  13. That player you remember - for some strange reason

Bogdan Lobont: Still the best save I've ever seen in football I reckon.
  14. Giggs appointed new Wales manager

I think it's clear that he picked up certain phrases from SAF but he just says it in such a monotonous and uninspiring way. Just shows again that Fergie was a one-off in terms of pure motivation.
