  1. Religion, what's the point?

I have no problem people in believing in a religion if it gives them comfort as long as it doesn't affect other people, that they don't try to force their beliefs on other people, or use it to think they are nicer or better than other people or worse, use it as a weapon to hurt other people or...

I get what you're saying but it's what I mean. The Uk government have for donkeys years , not just the last 5 or 10 years blamed the EU for all their faults. If people felt they were left behind why vote in the same government that were responsible for their problems. Why would poor Labour...
  3. SARS CoV-2 coronavirus / Covid-19 (No tin foil hat silliness please)

OK. They had two full weeks until they broke up for summer holidays on 3rd July.
  4. SARS CoV-2 coronavirus / Covid-19 (No tin foil hat silliness please)

:nono: They started opening on 11 May 2020. Opened fully 22 June 2020 and been open ever since except where individual schools were shut because of Covid. Have one grandson in collège and one in lycée and they haven't missed a day since June 22 (apart from school holidays of course)

You're right to a certain extent but this time social media played a big part as well. It was a finely tuned campaign from Leave (not Farage , I mean Cummings)and they knew how to appeal to the voters. They were more sophisticated in appealing to the things they knew would tick boxes without...

I don't think this is true. The leavers were ridiculed more after the vote. Before the vote the remain campaign was almost non-existent. There were a few half-hearted Tories like Osborne , Labour didn't turn up. Looking from outside the UK I can't think of any significant pro-EU speakers. Can...

Understatement of the century from that article: He said: "I actually think it was not properly thought out."
  9. Brexited | the worst threads live the longest

Who knows, don't think they're ready yet, does anyone know what the UK regulations are, they haven't got the inspection facilities in place. The only thing I've seen is that they've asked overseas companies to register in the UK for VAT (!?) and bring a bond - don't think they know what they're...

The rules haven't changed since the referendum, as soon as the Uk voted to leave they should have started preparing , on the other hand if they had bothered to check what was involved prior to the referendum it is highly unlikely they would have voted for Brexit. Not teething troubles, welcome...

Ah but you can see how we can grow our own straight bananas within the EU.

And Guadeloupe , there are plenty more , Guyane actually has a land border with the Americas.
  13. Brexited | the worst threads live the longest

Sounds more like the DUP, the Tories want to extend a transition period of two years of the protocol. So far between the Tories and the DUP they have threatened to invoke A16 of the NI protocol at least 5 times not counting of course the threat to break international law on numerous ocasions...
  14. The Breakup of the EU

He stated in his original post "That section is about as racist a statement as you could make" Can you sue for libel on the Caf?
  15. The Breakup of the EU

It's the first time in my life I've been accused of making a racist comment, which it isn't,obviously ; quite the opposite. I do have problems with idiots though.
