This transfer is great fun on every level. Out of nowhere we are putting City, Chelsea and Arsenal’s noses out of joint, jettisoning a player who hasn’t cut it and, more importantly, making ourselves potentially deadly upfront. Who says January has to be miserable.

He was so excited to sign for us wasn't he? He still seems excited about it actually... I think he did ok as back up and that goal was glorious. Maybe we should’ve got him when he left Madrid.

Is it possible to want something yet be completely indifferent about getting it at the same time? I’ve just not been sold on him since he went to Arsenal but he was so impressive at Madrid...dunno if it’s worth finding out which player he’d be for us.
