    I know that wenn he first came to Ajax he was used as a midfielder, cause he had some defensive shortcommings. In the background he was training with Ten Hag on being better both in defense and with the ball on his feet. The season after that Martinez became a starting defender for us.

    He worked incredibly well together with Timber last year in an Ajax defense that only gave away 4 goals in the first half of the season last year. I think he is able to be one of the best defenders in Europe, and maybe he already is, but only if his manager(s) account for his height.

    Love Wout, I have seen him play a lot at Heracles, AZ and Wolfsburg and somehow he always seems to suprisse at every club he plays at.
