I saw many intentions when rashford, martial, shaw etc. took good runs behind the defenders but no one had the courage or skill to take that deep pass (matic, mata, pereira). I think the problem isn't the movement, but that we have zero creative midfielder to take those passes.

If you watch Swedens matches, his ballplaying ability for example, is so much better! Even if Granqvist does much of the defending, he rarely miss a beat in his own defending. I can't remember a vital error or an off game for Sweden from him in ages. He seems more calm and composed.

Solid game today against spain. Why is he always better in the national team? He almost never had a bad game for them.

I hope that pogba get the CAM this season with Mata or lingard as backup if this is the formation we going for. With McTominay and Fred/Matic behind him. With this speed on the flanks he's going to shine.
