  1. Amad Diallo | 2023/24 Performances

That's an incredibly impatient viewpoint. He's barely played and he's already had a very important contribution. The lads back from a long term injury having not played football for a long time and what you're expecting a goal or an assist per game? He's finding his feet, hopefully he gets a...
  2. Westminster Politics

Why do you constantly bang on about a large majority? Outside of really contentious policy like Brexit and culture war nonsense it's very rare for a government not to get its own motions backed even with a small majority. It feels like a canned line we were given as canvassers.
  3. Ranking our Squad vs the Rest of the League

It's very difficult to judge a player independently of their team and likewise the team from the manager influenced form. I don't think we're that far behind Arsenal and especially Liverpool in terms of baseline quality. We're just underperforming whilst they overperform causing a huge gap...
  4. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

The midfield gap is exactly how Ajax played though. His main thing was creating space so players would leave holes for others to come in and receive the pass. The issue is it leaves you vulnerable if the team lose the ball as you've lost some coverage. Works fine against dross teams but against...
  5. The fanbase's role in the erosion of standards

If you're been on here during the last decade you'll know that the people offering blind support to failing managers changes each time. It's not a constant group that are eroding standards, more a new block of people who get carried away in supporting a manager for whatever reason. Players get...
  6. Combined Man Utd - Spurs XI

It's a mental way to judge a manager if that's what this is getting at. People are rightly or wrongly picking a combined eleven based off form, which can't be unpicked from the managers influence.
  7. Who replaces Ten Hag?

Nah overachieved is putting it too strongly, he did very well to meet our minimum expectations is how I'd put it. Yes he only had Werghorst up front for a lot of it but Rashford was our primary attacker and certainly scored the goals a main striker would.
  8. Jadon Sancho Borussia Dortmund loan watch (Has ended ten Hag)

I mean it's the exact same issue with every player we've signed from Dortmund. You cant sign players suited to a completely different system and just expect them to work. As fans we keep expecting that United will transform into a more team based side with the components you mention but it...
  9. Israel - Iran and regional players | Please post respectfully

Does it really serve him to start a full on war? I think this was more of a "let's remind them they're on our side" deal. He got a distraction from their genocide and orchestrated the US and others to publicly side with Israel.
  10. Israel - Iran and regional players | Please post respectfully

Yeah it's absurd, they're claiming nations have a right to self-defence whilst simultaneously threatening Iran if it dare defend itself. There's no moral argument to it, just an overpowered nation bullying whoever it can. For all the rhetoric Iran clearly don't want a direct war. Yet if the...
  11. Southgate or Potter - who would you prefer as our next manager?

I don’t think any of us are capable of judging whether a manager will be a success if we're honest. All we can do is say which styles of play we don't want to see. For me Southgate plays terribly boring football so i have no desire to see him here. Potter has managed a team playing good...
  12. Film 28 Years Later

Loved the first but somehow I had no idea there was a second film.
  13. Van de Beek to Frankfurt | Loan with no mandatory buy option.

It's odd how ETH had so little use of him when you think about it. He was a key part of their system for a while and for all the complaints of our players not being able to play Ten Hags way he's sidelined. If players don't transfer to the PL so easily then what makes us think the manager would.
  14. Everton deducted 10 points for PSR breach (reduced to 6) | Deducted further 2 points for second breach

The calls to delay the reduction make little sense to me, the benefit gained by not following the rules is felt here and now so why should the punishment be delayed to next season? I'd feel bad for Everton fans if it does cost them but ultimately it's the owners fault not the league.
  15. Next Season

Even If he could do we actually now think his Ajax tactics could work here week in week out? Might be great to take it to a big team and pull off a shock but I'm not convinced it can get consistent results. Missing out on the champions league twice in a row would be too much so I'm Option 1...
