Top 3 in the league and knock outs in the CL. Not really concerned about how the teams progress with any of the domestic cups, as they don't have the same appeal they once did. Hopefully more youths get a turn out in these than last season.

I think it may make some players think twice about going to Spain in general. If a clause can be triggered and then the league can decide to say no, that would make me think twice.

I agree. Why spend money on a GK when you have someone that could step into the shoes and still do a decent job? I said this in the DDG thread, but even if Romero is a 10 goal a season worse keeper, for the money we could get for DDG, we should be able to improve the outfield by more than 10...

Howard was pretty rubbish TBH and VDS was a massive upgrade that cost the club couple of million pound. Even the best replacements to DDG would be below his level and then you'd have to fork out a substantial part of the money to bring in a keeper with no EPL experience who may or may not be...
