  1. Kalvin Phillips | City Player (West Ham loan watch)

Jonathan Woodgate at Real Madrid was quite amusing. Signed August 2004 for £13million - injured for next 13 months. Finally made his debut, proceeded to score an own goal in the first half and was sent off in the 2nd.
  2. Post match vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

What on Earth were both Evans and Maguire both doing going up for the corner that led to the Wolves 3rd. Keep one of them back for fecks sake! Amazing game, should have been out of sight by half time. Kobbie!!!!!!
  3. Can anyone's view on ETH change this season?

Decent displays. His signings looking like they work. A battle for top 4 and a run in the cup. That alongside some positivity from Ineos, with good recruitment's made in senior positions and I'd be quite happy to have him have a go next season.
  4. New era starts now

I think this thread will actually age well. Might take a while though. Mind you, its based on nothing but a hangover.
  5. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

This time last season I thought he was perfect for us. Now I'm really not sure, mainly because of signings and style of play. Antony and Mount are real head scratchers. I trusted his judgement with Antony as he saw him every day in training. Mount I have no idea what he was thinking. He was a...
  6. Who is your preferred option for the RW spot?

Basically anyone but Antony. Can't stand the guy, least likeable player we have had for a long time. Least he didn't cost us much and we will be able to move him on easily.....oh.
  7. André Onana | 2023/24 Performances

Only time I felt confident in him was when he came up for that late set piece and was as far away from our goal as possible! I hope he will come good, but it's a worrying start. He doesn't even seem to be playing the ball out the way he did up until the Arsenal game. Just seems to hoof it up...
  8. Post match vs Galatasaray

Well as bad as tonights result has been, least I didn't buy a box of jelly beans from where you buy yours from. Silver linings and all that.
  9. Post match vs Galatasaray

I can't believe our defence after Hojlunds 2nd. Atmosphere was incredible at that point. We finally have a striker that looks made for Man Utd, then, wow, just shocking.
  10. VAR and Refs | General Discussion

The VAR guys sounded so incompetent. They should have just let the replay operator handle it. The guy who is probably paid the least out of the lot of them sounded like the only one who knew what an absolute bollock they dropped while the others are all..... 'great mate, yeh mate, thanks mate...
  11. VAR and Refs | General Discussion

Var is just ridiculous. I watched both the live league cup games during the week and they were so much better to watch knowing you could celebrate goals immediately and fouls weren't going to be looked at in case they could pull up a still shot of something looking dangerous. Every time a goal...
  12. What's the point? Warning: Post contains a long ramble

When I was growing up, my dad's generation was saying the game is dead when the Premier League happened, when Keane cost £3.75m, when they started letting non league winners into the Champions League. He didn't understand my mobile phone and constantly complained about prices going up. My music...
  13. Saudi signing wave: What are the implications? Is it weakening the Premier League?

Rather than weaken the Premier League, I think it's the other European countries that could be most affected by the rise of the Saudis. The Premier League has already established itself as the biggest league in the world, whereas countries like Spain, Italy and Germany are playing catch up. IF...
  14. FA Cup Final: United v City

I think the Liverpool result becomes particular scarring at this point. On our day we can give them a game, as we have showed, but we also know we have the capacity to receive a hammering, not just a defeat, but an actual historic hammering. It's one thing to be on the receiving end of one early...
