Well i dont agree about LvG comment,at home we might dominate with this formation when players are used to it,also with this formation he is giving Memphis freedom,so i dont think he is clueless at all.
Doesn't matter when if we are at home, when we are playing a top team, we shouldn't have 2 midfielders when we play the risk of getting overrun. These aren't bottom of the table fodder that we can play 4-4-2 against. Last season at home we played 4-3-3 against these lots and blew them out the water

We need to get Herrera on ASAP and move Depay up top to one of the sides (probably over Mata) ..... we need some actual creativity in the middle of the park and some speed on the wings.

Spurs seem to be targeting Blind. They've tried to get behind our defense through his zone a few times now.

Defence looks fierce dodgy and particularly on Shaws side. Kane and Erikson needs to be watched or handled a lot better. Toothless enough in attack as well so far.

Carrick needs to wake up a bit defensively.

Darmian has been terrific. We'd be two down already if not for him always being in the right place. Rest of the team need to wake up. Outplayed so far.

    Goal for Manchester United

    Own goal!
United's first attack of real intent leads to the opening goal of the season and it's Own Goal who nets.

Memphis plays Young in down the right, he feeds Rooney in acres of space in the box. The United captain hesitates, allowing Walker to get the tackle in, but the defender only knocks it into his own net.

Not altogether deserved, but we'll take it!

With Herrera not playing, we need a winger to carry it deep and neither Young or Mata are cutting it ATM. Memphis is being wasted in his current position.

When your fullbacks are better at attacking then your wingers, you know you've got problems!
