When will the other leagues jump on board and shorten their own transfer windows? It's beginning to look like it could adversely affect the EPL. I must say, I prefer it ending all over Europe on the same day.

I always thought having a shorter transfer window will mean more signings in a short span of time but it seems like nothing is going on. There's only a few weeks until the season begins. Surprised nothing much is happening.

Most signings are always done towards the end of the window, but now most teams' window ends after ours. So, surely the EPL will lose more players than they gain... Not liking it one bit...

We are 2 weeks away from the start of the Prem. I doubt much will happen as teams will want a replacement.

This is my point. When ALL teams move to complete transfers then it is better. Deals get done, cause most are procrastinators. I think there will be plenty of movement, but mainly in Europe. A few EPL players will also leave, most probably.

Let's take Sporting as an example. Currently nobody we know about wants to buy Bruno. If our window closes and we submit a final day offer, Sporting might think that another team might offer more later in their window. They will be under no pressure to sell. Whereas, if it was the last day for everyone then they just might go for it.

Was it better when you could sign anyone at any time? I can't even begin to imagine the feeling of waking up one morning and finding out we brought Cantona etc.

Exactly, it is nonsense. The one thing I am worried about is lets say we sign no one. Real Madrid manager to offload Bale, they will be looking at Pogba, if he hands a transfer request and we sell him post 8th August, can you imagine the mood into the season?

The Bruno one is interesting - there are media / fan rumours since the Nations League. now it is reported we are not in for him. Let's say we were and we bid £50m and rejected, I wouldn't be surprised if after the EPL window closes another team comes and they sell for £40m
