Some game. Moran and Sean O’Shea were phenomenal for Kerry, McCaffrey, Rock and Cluxton the same for the Dubs. Mannion, Fenton and O’Callaghan very quiet by their standards and Clifford did rightly but will be disappointed with those wides. Geaney quite poor as well, should have done better with the penalty.

Ticket prices reduced by a third for the replay. What does that tell you? That they didnt have to be the price they were for the first game. Scandalous.

They could have been double the price and still sold out.

They will also still be hard to get

Apparently fenton carried a back injury into that game. Not sure how true that is but he didnt challenge much aerially. Dublin unlucky to lose O'Sullivan in the warm up too. Kerry were excellent. O'Shea, Moran and Barry we're all excellent. Looking forward to the replay now.

Yeah seen speculation about Fentons back injury, could be true because its not like him to be as quiet, although Barry usually does well on him and Moran is definitely the best midfielder in the country after him. Can’t see him, COC and Mannion being as quiet the next day although all 3 were well marshalled. Equally Geaney, O’Brien and Clifford will all improve you would think.

Might come down to who concedes the least frees as the two lads are both exceptional and a real joy to watch from the deadball.

I hope both sets of forwards fire in the replay. Another great game would be brilliant.

Watched my first camogie game; the intermediate all ireland between Galway & Westmeath.
Fierce excitement there.

Next up Galway v Kilkenny, which is the real reason my Ma has that channel on.

Ah well. Missed our chance the first day. Well done to a good Dublin team, kerry have had a good year all considered and will be a coming team. Did well to battle back today but the goal was a killer, you’re not going to beat Dublin if they score more goals than you.

Watched the game in O'Neills pub in Manchester, pub full of Kerry supporters or should i say people that wanted to see Kerry win.

Not as good as the first match but replays rarely are. Kerry gave as good as got 1st half but faded badly 2nd half scoring 0-5 and got off to the worst possible start with conceding such a poor goal from the throw in or be it probably should have been called for steps. Clifford,Geaney,O'Shea scored 0-14 of Kerry's 0-15 they needed more scores out of others and some of their decision making was awful, O'Brien for that 2nd half goal chance for example.

Dublin had Kerry at arms length for pretty much all of that 2nd half as they totally controlled the match. They were good value for the 6 point win and if they had taken their other goal chances they could have won by more. I'd expect a good few retirements now and if Jim Gavin steps aside he will take some replacing a manager as good as him shouldn't be underestimated.

I thought the ref did ok. Should have black carded the Dublin back for goal saving foul in the first half. First half was great. Brilliant football from both sides. Lovely stuff from a well coached young Kerry team. Dublin were phenomenal. But the GAA must have been praying for a Kerry win.

I can see this as being a competitive high point; if the inequality of resources (70% of funds being swept up by Dublin, them playing all games in the national stadium, and a massive advantage in player pool) culminates in 8 in a row, or 10 in a row, surely Maughan’s critique will be joined by the whole country. Interest will wane, to be sure. Dublin needs to be split in four. Not two, they would still not be competitive with other teams, with amateur squads and backroom teams who make massive sacrifices for the sport.

Who needs a Manchester City of Gaelic games?

I don't know about the black card. For me it wasn't a black card offense by the rule book. Kerry ran Dublin close but I think it's a bit simplistic to say that Dublin needs to be split. Did you think the same when Kilkenny dominated the hurling? I think it's a perfect storm in Dublin at the minute with brilliant players and a brilliant manager all with a phenomenal work ethic all in place at the same time but I don't think that they unbeatable. The issue is the provincial run. Dublin dont have to play a tough game until the semi finals whereas in Ulster every bloody game is a dog fight. Do a world cup group draw and you make it tougher for Dublin in my opinion.

Something needs to change, but I don’t think scrapping the provincials is the answer. The Ulster championship is probably the best competition the GAA has at the minute, some unbelievable games this year in it.

leinster and Munster are shit shows. With no real game until the quarters for either KErry or Dublin and they both get to the final.
