I actually think we have a good chance here... Pellegrini just isn't a park the bus manager and pogba or no we can punish teams that don't park the bus

    AWB Lindelof Maguire Young
    Matic
    Fred McT
    Lingard "Rashy" James

I think we'll win 2-1. We should be able to geggen press them with this lineup.

    Awb...Lindelof...Maguire...Young
    Matic.....Scott
    Lingard....Fred...James
    Rashford

Possibly with the front 4 interchanging positions often.

Fred has warranted his place and can see him playing in the number 10 for the energy, with the same thinking behind Lingard over Mason. Back 5 picks itself, with hopefully Matic seemingly playing himself back into form.

Can see West Ham gettinb too over confident, and us lot hitting them on the counter. Im gonna go 1-3 to United and go against the negative tide.

Less and less teams are starting to park the bus against Utd. They all think they have a chance to beat us playing their own game. This may work in our favour.

Sure, he's the best option. James can come off the bench, doesn't even need to play 90.
Am I reading you right? You'd risk the best prospect in years getting injured for the sake of what?

If a win is that important to you....

Well, that was the case last year as well isn't it ? We had a better team as well.
Thing is, if they do a high press which they will certainly do and cut our passing lines we dont even have someone who can beat the press and pass it. We will finally resort to high balls from young or one of our midfielders will lose the ball due to lack of passing options.

It's pretty dire man. Hope kills. I am all set to take a 2-0 or 3-0 loss.

Really struggled to pick this one.

What I'd play / would like:

    ----------------------------De Gea---------------------------------------
    Wan-B-----Jones(Controversial)--------- Maguire---------------Young
    ------------------------------------Matic----------------------------------
    -----------------------------Fred------------Mctom-----------------------
    Lingard---------------------------Rashford------------------------James

What I think we will see:

    ---------------------------De Gea-------------------------------
    Wan B-----------Lindelof--------------Maguire---------------Young
    ------------------------------Mctom--------------------------------
    ------------------------Fred-----------Lingard-----------------------
    Mata-------------------------Rashford----------------------------James

Will be another tight game. Which ever team makes the fewest big mistakes and whichever team take it's chances will win. I quite like Rashford but I just don't think he's clinical enough in a game where he might get just one or 2 big chances. Might need another big moment from James.

After last game line up, I don't really care what team Ole puts out there. I just want to see some fights, good spirit, calm defending and... A positive result to go with.
I remember every time we excited about the lineup which most of us like to see, the results always turn out bad for some reasons.

Can't see us scoring more than 1 goal or winning for that matter. 1-1

We will see who is right but I think they'll come to play versus like no team other than Chelsea has this year and we will make chances

Is he actually the best option. Goal aside he did nothing against the worst team we will play this season. We had 100% of the ball effectively. West ham will be very different, we need to create on the break and from deep etc.

Probably will suit both him and the team better since there will be more
    space to play in.

Also he did nothing, except score the crucial goal where as Rashford couldn't finish his chances. Since we don’t create a lot we need to be clinical

Anderson v Wan Bissaka will be a good battle.

We will need to be careful of Yarmolenko and Lanzini, but hopefully we can allow AWB 1v1 and cover the left side a bit more.

No idea where we are going to get goals from, lets hope Rashford finds his shooting boots.

Assuming pogba and martial ain't fit, think we will see this, looks a bit workman like to me.

    De gea

    Wan -- lindelof -- Maguire -- young

    McT -- matic

    Pereira -- lingard -- James

    Rashford

If we can roll him the ball in the box a lot and if West ham play 2 Astana players at left back and gk it will work nicely. I think others players have a better all round game (Which is okay) and should play in what will likely be an even game played in the middle of the park

Btw if we were playing palace again I say play him as we would have the ball vs a bus and need to finish the couple of chances we scrap out.

Was it last season that Anderson turned into prime Ronaldo against us? That was a very shambolic performance at West Ham last season. Anything better than that I'll be acceptable I guess. Let's just see some fight.

We have AWB this time around... and also proper defenders instead of McT filling in at the back.

All things considrerd, I thought its was one of our worst performances for decades.

A lot to make up for on Sunday - we might just be able to hold them to a scruffy draw

If AWB is back, I expect a clean sheet. If James also plays, I think he saves us with a goal and we win 0-1. Don't think Rashford will score any goals in this match either, but he has to play both to find the form again and because he is a constant threat with his speed that the opponents hardly dare to ignore. If nothing else, it gives our other players more space, for example Greenwood which I hope Ole is brave enough to give another chance.

:( and Pogba too i see. I expect a very boring match like the Leicester one. James (if fit) and Rashford will have to do all attacking/creative stuff by themselfs again.
Think we will get beat. Hope we can score a jammy goal and hold on.

We lost there last year so I'd take a poin h this time around. Maguire going to have his hands full with Haller.
