KDB is better albeit more consistent, but Pogba is a wondeful passer himself, I think most of Pogbas weaknesses are simply to do with lack of concentration effort etc. He can make any pass in the book, at the same time be so sloppy in the same breath, I don't think that's wholly down to United, it's a personal thing, but one I'm sure might have been corrected or alleviated under a better more progressive and tactical manager, Mourinho is tactical, but he isn't progressive and he lacks the humanity in terms of man management that some of the other greats have.

Yeah and to be fair to you, the Bundesliga does get less coverage compared to the 2 you've mentioned, but I wouldn't associate that with a lack of quality.

14 pages and I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I notice Pogba has a bad habit of passing it directly to the opposition at least a few times a game. Not make a somewhat bad pass where an opposing player makes a commitment to intercept the pass, but I mean directly to the opposition player. I haven't seen KdB do that though I don't watch him every game City plays.
Pogba has a better range of passing. He can produce the spectacular from just about any position on the pitch, whether it be from a still ball or a half volley. Where KDB really excels is the consistency of his final ball and speed in which he see's it, which ultimately makes him the better passer.
Saying that, if Pogba was regularly lining up in that city team and KDB in ours, I very much doubt there would be many lauding KDB as the better player.

That's part of his relatively low passing accuracy, he tries very difficult passes in tight spaces, tries to play very quickly or sometimes he just misses something that seems simple. But he produces so much that it doesn't really matter.

De Bruyne is a better passer, I believe Pep is a master at instilling a huge amount of care for possession whilst also giving players the confidence to try more risky passes in the right moments. I believe if Pogba had a number of years under Pep he would probably edge ahead as he has more natural technique.
I do think they are on about the same level as players right now, I don't know if this is a popular opinion due to his history with the club but I think Pogba is our best player by a drastic margin and I often sympathise with him as it sometimes looks like Michael Schumacher trying to drive a Ford KA.

Absolutely. It helps that most of City's opponents defend in a deep block, so risky passes are less risky to City.
De bruyne clearly. More consistent with his passing, almost always perfect weight and accuracy. He uses his body better, better first touch and just an all around better footballer. No contest.

A lot has happened since this thread was last bumped; Pogba's passing seems to be more appreciated than it was, despite his range not altering or improving... just that now people are taking notice because others are converting what was always on a plate for them.
De Bruyne seems to have faded a bit since - he's injured more and not really leaving the impression he was at the time the thread was made. Is that a correct assessment of his current trajectory?

KDB is better closer to the box and at crosses.

both are at same level of technical brilliance when it comes to passing, difference is the putting that brilliance in the game, and that is where De Bruyne is more consistent and better.
Nary a game goes by without Pogba putting someone through on a gilt-edged chance - once the ball is played, it's on others to convert, or not, as the case may be, but that doesn't, or shouldn't, take away from the brilliance of the pass, which I feel is where De Bruyne gets more merit than Pogba in general terms.

Anyways they are both are at same level talent wise, De Bruyne also makes ridiculous passes like Pogba, but obviously Pogba is our boy, so his passes feel more special.
It's not just about that one magical pass though - De Bruyne is simply more consistent, makes fewer mistakes and simply just has better vision and timing
