It should be alarming to many that we have only won one game comfortably in the league this season.

This run of form was simply not sustainable with the way the team was playing, the loss today was long overdue.
A thousand times this. Our football is tumescent, slow and predictable against teams that come to defend. And Ole has no idea what to do about it.

Fred, Bailly and Shaw is the key. Also, dropping Martial and De Gea would be very reasonable. Got a bit arrogant with his selection.

Rotation is necessary as the same players cannot play every game, certainly a player like Shaw who’s no spring chicken in a season with unprecedented fixture congestion. We’ve got bigger problems if we can’t cope without him for Sheffield United at home.
There are some concerning issues with the forwards. Does not mean your already not too strong back line had to start with 2 new members.

It was our biggest problem.

Was screaming for some energy in midfield, Fred needed to come on at half time. Pogba and Matic together is bloody glacial.

, arrogant? He played a team of full internationals bar Tuanzebe and Greenwood, against bottom of the league. Fully on the players this one.

This match is mainly on him. Messed up the selection, stayed with the messed up selection far too long....as usual.

If you can't rotate at home to Sheffield Utd then we're in trouble, there's no way you can blame Ole for changing a few players, they let him down today. I wish he would bring subs on quicker in the game. DVB should have come on sooner.

Had no issue with the team that started. But I don't get why it took so long to make a sub today

Previous games I can understand when you're on top. Today we weren't and we badly needed a change, and it's probably the easiest sub taking off Greenwood even though the other two were worse than him.

Also think the late two sub's he made, should happen as soon as it goes 2-1. Why wait?

The players DID let him down. But he also dug his own downfall today. Yes it's the club at the bottom of the league. But when things are not working out and players are not trying hard enough you change them. Bringing in Telles for Shaw is not an issue for me. But playing Telles AND Tuanzabe is an issue.
When things are not working you bring on changes. Martial was doing feck all. Mason had the best chance. We still don't have a plan B.

I'm screaming at the tv all the second half for Ole to make a change.

This man IS SO SLOW with making in-game decisions.

Also STOP benching Cavani and playing Martial at 9... Playing him and Rashford on the same pitch - can he not see blatantly obvious errors with the team during a game.

Games are always so stressful to watch this season. I can't believe how blind Ole is at times.

It was bound to happen at some point as we have not looked overly convincing in our wins this season. The squad needs to be improved if we want to progress further with Ole.

Martial should have been binned after 20 minutes. That's the only thing I am mad about Ole today. The result is on the players.

Not the greatest fan of this Manager
He does nothing to change a game during a game
Really was wishing him to do well but I can’t see it
Why play Matic and Pogba against a low block team...it does make any sense
This was a game for Fred’s energy...just don’t understand
We cannot play Matic as a 1 man midfielder..it does not make any sense

Very poor decisions today, and I'm rather disappointed at the scapegoating of Greenwood. Leaving the awful Rashford and Martial on and taking the better Greenwood off didn't seem to be as a result of what was going on on the pitch.

Meh.

Before this season I would have happily taken a comfortable top for finish and a narrowing of the gap as progress. Currently in second, we're still well on course for that.

I'm not going to be overly harsh on Solskjaer after a performance like that because I expected some performances like that. It's why we were never really going to win the league. We certainly aren't any better than our current league position suggests, or above shite displays like this.

It is what it is.

Genuine question. Did any of the Ole Outers genuinely change their mind over the last 6 weeks?

This is the facts and it's been the underlying consensus for a while. Don't think we will have a terrible season but we didn't play our way to number 1 in the league. It's also not about signings Solskjaer needs to be able to coach this team to effectively win games because that is the difference between a foundation and hoping for the best in the run of play.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Our starting line-up was fine. Ole has done very well rotating our players over the last couple of months and the team he put out should have been good enough to get the result.

The substitutions were disgraceful though. It was incredibly obvious that we needed urgency, drive and the ability to push the team forward. Two of Cavani, Fred and Shaw should have been on at halftime, and it was so obvious that it was what we needed that I was stunned we came out with the same line-up. To then wait until the 65th just to bring one of them on, then wait until after the 80th minute to make the last two changes (bringing VDB on instead of Fred at this point was understandable) was ridiculous. That was a huge mistake from Ole today, and it was so obvious I don't understand why.

Think the players let him down tonight.
He let himself down. Too late with the subs as usual. Cavani and Shaw should have been on at half time. Greenwood was our least worst attacker but first to be subbed. Martial getting 90 mins is sickening. Pathetic in-game management.

Glasgow resident these days.
He’s allowing too many players to become very average and isn’t dropping or replacing them.
I still don’t see us winning anything under Ole and tonight reaffirms my view. Poor selection and in game management

Absolutely no idea why VDB or Mata didn't come earlier. Bruno and Martial was stinking like shit.

Frank lampard got sacked for less in my opinion. Lampard got chelsea to an fa cup final and to the latter rounds of the champions league. Ole has done nothing but scrap top 4 and somehow we are all ok with this.

Cavani can't start every match and this one was the obvious match to rest him. Waiting until so late to bring him on was the issue today, not having him on the bench to start with.

Got arrogant with the selection and we paid.

As I said week ago, rather just played a weak(er) team against Dippers in the FA Cup, then still field a stronger team this game. The league is where our ambition should be at. Beating Dippers is good and all but it's no final. Every league game when we're in this position should be treated with more respect.

We got complacent and paid the price. We might not have won this the way we played, but to the extend of this performance that gave us a defeat, then it's a issue with the mindset.

The players are expected to do more than they did though, I don't think it's worth taking a striker off when you're going gung-ho. I was fine with Tuanzebe being sacrificed for VDB (rather than Martial for VDB).

The players have to bare a lot of the responsibility tonight.

I’ve been closer to the fence than out but yes, I wanted him gone after his horror show in Germany but he’s firmly turned me around.

Doing feck all tonight though after getting so outmanoeuvred tactically is a big blotch though, just as his feck ups v PsG at home and in Germany were.

No, league position clearly doesn't reflect our performances and was a matter of time until our luck ran out. I think it's just the start of our bad results.

I didn't mind him making the changes but he should not be making so much changes to the back. Also, he has to be ruthless when it comes to certain players. I don't know what else to blame him for. Players that were there today should do better.
