I questioned this myself quite a lot considering I thought our new policy was to sign players who wanted to play and fight for the badge, not collect an overpaid payday...would love it if he did actually want to come as he's a great player.

Should he sign, I wonder what Frenkie's answer is going to be to the obvious question that will be "it's clear from your previous comments that you didn't want to leave Barcelona, how do you feel about joining United whilst deep down you wanted to stay at Barca?"

I don't think United journalists would be reporting that personal terms are unlikely to be an issue had the club not already received assurances.

It's Lewa or Raphinha joining Barcelona.

The FDJ deal seems to be done, since over the last 3 days Barca have been negotiating with Bayern and Leeds, they wouldn't have if FDJ leaving wasn't already a foregone conclusion. I feel like Barca and United are keeping it under wraps to allow other transfer business to be sorted first.

They still havent completed the deal to raise the money, have they? Barca need to get that through by tomorrow so I'd assume they would be pretty busy.

Started listening to the stream. I don't think it has anything to do with FdJ. It sounds bigger than that for them, but he won't tell anything.

Yes, I lost like a minute but it seems they changed topic to Frenkie. They are basically saying that they shouldn't sell Frenkie unless they can get Bernardo Silva, but that's not looking likely. And then Romero says it's not a football decision and that the team feels they won't miss Frenkie that much.

Didn't Romero also say nobody else has this news and that it's "very confidential"? I can't see how De Jong "resisting a move" fits either of these criteria since it's already been reported by someone else.
