It probably takes oil money to keep him satisfied. But would otherwise love him here. Like Rashford, but only the good version. And probably even better than the best version of Rashford as well. Would be something to have a proper world class player in attack again.

Lets do a 3 team swap.

Mbappe to Real.
Rash to PSG
Rodrygo to Man UTD (they wouldn't swap Vini)

i think long term pound for pound UTD comes out winning this swap.

Rumors that will PSG will offer him a huge new contract, to the surprise of absolutely no one.

Contract could be worth about 100 mill each year, yeah, good luck matching that.

Good luck to them with that!

We wouldn't pay that even for Cristiano on his prime but can't really blame Mbappe for milking them like that if the rumors are true.

According to Le Parisien, Mbappe has chosen Real Madrid.

This means he will renew his contract at PSG and stay there for 3 more seasons.

Agree. Another 5 oil wells for his family and it’s sorted. Please make this saga go away

He's not even that great anyway. Most overrated player in my lifetime the way he gets compared to Ronaldo and Messi.
Ironically also not the type of player we need right now…if only Perez wasn’t obsessed. Think otherwise the club would have moved on in 2022. Alas.

More of a status symbol, PSG aren't big enough to have a future balón d'or winner

Eh, he was like 1 goal away from winning it if they had won the WC.

For us this doesn’t make a lot of sense. Already got a superstar in Jude and the 442 seems to work. Feel like Mbappe will ruin all of that.

Seeing him play for PSG this season it also looks like he isn’t at the same level he was previously.

He will be the obvious best player at Madrid and those awful sagas will be forgotten in two months.

Isn’t Le Parisien just a mouthpiece for PSG and Al-Khelaifi? This way they just pile the pressure on him to re-sign

Think you’ll quickly eat your words if he moves to Madrid. He’s an incredible player and the clear best in the world currently he just plays in a rubbish league that doesn’t showcase his abilities. He’s the best player I’ve seen live outside of Ronaldo and Messi.

There is no way you guys are saying no to a player of his caliber. A formation that works has never been enough of a reason for Madrid not to sign a top marquee player.

You will get him, and then it’s up to the manager to make it work. It’s the Madrid way.

I agree but it’s a bit strange with Vini and Rodrygo extending their contracts, Endrick joining and Bellingham playing so high up the pitch.
It‘d also be a bummer since I like the current Real and am annoyed by Mbappe.

I still don’t think he’ll leave PSG, but will be interesting to see.

I don’t think he’s anywhere near forfilling the potential he first showed, and I don’t think he’ll enjoy playing for a team where expectations are miles higher and the league isn’t a farmers market.

By all means, maybe he’ll hammer in goal after goal and show that he’s actually worthy of being mentioned as one of the best players in the world, but i think he’s in a very relaxed place where he earns a fortune, gets away with everything without much criticism and produces great numbers.

My money is on him being a flop in a better league. A bit like Neymar after Barcelona. Satisfied might be a better word, doesn‘t have the stomach for the last few %

Considering he’s on about €1.4m/week pre-tax, I can believe it. Real was never going to pay that. Plus if it’s half his pre-tax pay, the difference in his net pay should be less than half since taxes are lower in Spain (right?). Either way, I’m sure he’ll be able to feed his family.
How he fits into the team, I’m not sure.

I think he's the one who needs more that move rather the other way around. Then there's the fact we won't be paying him the absurdity he's receiving at PSG.

Hmm.

Vini-Mbappe-Rodrygo
——Jude——
Cama-Tchou

Could be an option. Or maybe:

Vini-Mbappe
Jude/Tchou/Cama/Valverde

A lot of options given the depth of midfield. Most likely Rodrygo will be benched I think. But Carlo usually finds a good solution for the team. Might change formations again.

His current salary at PSG is likely beyond ridiculous. Half of that at Real Madrid will probably still have him in like the top 5 highest paid players in the world or something

He turned down a shitload more than that from Saudi Arabia and his wages at PSG were already ridiculous. I can believe it, especially with Haaland being on the verge of Ballon d'Or last season. Will be surprised if he isn't at Real Madrid in the summer.
