Mbappe is nowhere near Messi. Even if he breaks World Cup records, he simply doesn't possess the natural talent Messi has.

However, if he does go to Real and has similar levels of production as he did at PSG(and continues his CL excellence). And he also continues his current World Cup trajectory, you can argue for him over Ronaldo.
Obviously he doesn't have Messi’s natural talent but can arguably more than match Ronaldo on pure talent.

To equate Cristiano's career at club level, he would need an unbelievable drive and someone like Messi to set a moving target he tries to overtake. He has neither. Plus he has spent a good amount of time at PSG which doesn't help. Imo, he won't reach Ronaldo at club level.

He has already surpassed Ronaldo at international level.

He is undoubtedly a great player but very sulky on the field, will disrupt salary structure even more. Imho utd should stay clear of him.

I think he’ll end up in the PL. I don’t think Madrid is in for him as much as before.

Holy shit, his wages are even higher than I previously thought. €1.44 million a week AFTER taxes, according to the Athletic.

Surely he knows that he'll have to lower his salary demands even at Madrid. However, even there he'll earn way more than any sane PL club would be willing to offer him. Not to mention that he's getting at least a 100 million signing bonus for himself.

No chance we want him or that he'd be willing to consider us at this point. I don't want to pay 500k+ / week for a player on top of a 9 figure signing bonus. Not even sure we could, to be honest.

Love the fact Madrid is like "Go eff yourself..."

This moron bottled it when they last went in for him, instead, decided to take a billion dollars from his grubby little paymasters, then proceeded to sulk around the pitch because Messi took away his shine, achieved very little, and now is unhappy at Madrid's offer.

Newsflash kid, you're not that great, Madrid could win the league and the UCL (again) without you, Vini is doing it in the big games (you don't), the entire team is working well and you'd come in, piss everyone off, get paid more than the entire front line and likely, make the team worse/more disjointed.

I call it now, I reckon it's either PSG or Saudi, in which we can reject any notion this kid is anything more than a businessman masquerading as a footballer.

I've never seen a more inaccurate statement. Impressive

Him, Vini, and Rodrygo will be a disgustingly fun front 3.
Ehh, rarely works out like that in practice. Rodrygo might not even play if we keep the same formation.

Would be hilarious if he signs anywhere but Madrid. Think Perez would order a hit squad at that point.

Seeing Perez not get what he wants for a change would be refreshing though.

I feel like most of this is only true in your head though.

You’re telling me this long and very tedious saga is finally drawing its conclusion? Well thank feck for that!!
You think that... but we're only entering the phase of the vultures who manage his brand putting him out to tender.

Courtois coming back, a bit more luck regarding injuries in defense and next year's CL is done

Point being I don’t think you would keep the same formation. You’re doing so right now because of the lack of top striker and wealth of midfield quality so it makes sense to play more of a diamond and allow Jude full forward license. But Modric is leaving and Kroos might as well, so the numbers fit a bit easier now. Mbappe and Rodrygo don’t mind playing more centrally so I think with him coming in it would be a more fluid front 3.

How much of that failure was our own doing and how much was that on player .
Eh? You asked a question, got an answer and then moved the goalposts. We're still not set up in a way where Mbappe would be enough to drag us to major trophies single-handed, which he'd need to given we'd be screwed by ffp.

Might also change his mind at last minute and renew, after a call from Macron.

The CL is a glorified FA Cup set to music

His career will be viewed the same whether he stays in France or moves to Spain/England. People will rate him higher if he wins CLs at the end of the day.

Otherwise he should focus on being a great football player and cashing out in the process.

interested to see Luis Enrique's management of an Mbappeless PSG, feel like I still know basically nothing of what his level is as a coach
The funny thing is this PSG side is specifically built around Mbappé, in a similar way to how Zidane's Madrid was built around Cristiano. Without him they're essentially incomplete. BIG job replacing him/rebuilding the team (admittedly more so on the club's top brass than Luis Enrique)
Let's pull out the 2018 WC to claim big games. He hasn't won anything of note. No UCL at all and PSG bottle it every year, they're basically Spurs.
Hat Trick in a World Cup final. Dude. You gotta let it go :D

We are, the word is PRAYING, for Kroos to give us another season. And no chance we're changing Jude's role

You have to make a go of mbappe on a free.

Not doing so shows a lack of ambition.
Saw an article that his people are asking for as signing fee of €100m. This transfer is not going to be “free”.
