A good point for Bournemouth in the grand scheme of things and they could have won it at the end.

To be fair at time Dyche made them very hard to beat. His team were nasty, this lot want to be entertainers, which is fair enough if you are actually any good.
He did but they still got pumped from time to time (and eventually relegated)

I guess my question is: would they be significantly better if they played route 1, "ave it!!!!" brexit ball?

I think as always a good manager can set up to play against different opponents. Kompany only has plan A.

Dyche has shown this season he is capable of playing different ways and actually did toy against Kompany too. We beat Burnley at their ground playing with 5 at the back instead of our traditional 4 due to injuries.

Newcastle play away at Arsenal next Saturday night.
Newcastle are 10 points behind 5th with 13 games to go..
We are 6 behind with a game in hand (+1points for GD)

Newcastle are highly unlikely to finish in the top 5..
other than that, I dont care where they finish..

Don't know. Burnley managed to hang around in the PL for quite a while. This Burnley aren't even going to get a second season.

Eh, Burnley get mullered whether they parked the bus in the past, or go for it like today.
Thats true but they stayed in the league for plenty of seasons, the naivety vs their equals and teams around them is a problem for them. I mean if the plan is to stick by Kompany and have a 2nd crack then fair enough, if its not I have no idea what they're doing. It feels like in previous years they would sneak out enough to stay up (till they didn't) they'll be relegated by gameweek 32 or 33 at the current rate which never happened.

Vinnie maybe has to temper how he wants to play with how he has to play and build into it.

That looks like a City team that lacks a lot of control for me. Super direct and could score a hatful but not a lot of patience in there offensively. Interesting choice by Pep, feels like it'll be Alvarez and KDB as like advanced 8's and Rodri being a one man midfield.

HELLO
Is it safe to be optimistic? last time we got brought down to earth by Bournemouth.

Our fixtures have been quite front heavy too...

We've been away to 6/7 of the top 8. We've only City and Chelsea (assuming a decent version turns up) in terms of difficult aways.

City's best lineup is who started away at Copenhagen. Perfect combination of directness and caution/pausa

I think so, you can maybe swap Grealish for Doku depending on circumstances but its far more balanced then todays, which should be interesting to be honest. All of Doku, KDB, Alvarez and Foden are very direct on the ball.

About time one of these cnuts wore their away kits against each other.

Was always a footballing pet peeve of mine that they both wore home kits.

Jackson is the biggest useless donkey ever. You can throw any stats or arguments at me - you won't change my mind.

Are there even any stats or arguments to throw at it?

I recall some Chelsea fans seeing Drogba 2.0 after his first 30 mins in the PL

Again?!

How on earth did we lose to them, we should've just kept pushing them over as soon as they got close
The only way it could have been more blatant is if he’d punched him on the way down.

Add to that a perfectly good goal disallowed too.
