And I'm all out of bubblegum.
2005 Playoffs Conference Finals and NBA Final

Bracket so far:

Conference Finals

Seattle and @Solius take the lead over Phoenix and @reelworld, as expected.

2-0! Is this going to be a quick series, then?

reelworld's team gets one back!

Another very even match-up, apparently. I thought Seattle were going to be superior to Phoenix, but it doesn't look like it.

Phoenix have taken the lead! Are they really going to reverse sweep the Champions, or are we going to get yet another 3-3 thriller?

They did it! reelworld and the Phoenix Suns are going to the NBA Final after defeating the reigning Champions in Solius' Seattle Supersonics. Maybe weetee and The Cat were more important than Seattle thought? Kevin Garnett didn't really contribute all that much in this series, that's for sure.

And Phoenix will face Philadelphia in the Final.

NBA Final

99-116, Philadelphia take the lead.

reelworld: 10/1/10

105-82, commanding win for the Suns.

reelworld: 4/0/7

107-86, another big win!

reelworld: 17/3/14

110-98, are we getting another reverse sweep from the Suns?

reelworld: 22/2/8

85-106, a big win for the 76ers this time.

reelworld: 10/1/7

93-101, and it's a thriller! It all comes down to game 7. It's either a new Cafite champion, or the first time in six seasons without one.

reelworld: 6/1/5

The Philadelphia 76ers are NBA Champions! reelworld and the Phoenix Suns did brilliantly to get this far, but couldn't go all the way. They have nothing to be ashamed of though, having defeated the two best teams in the West (Seattle and the Lakers), with two of the best Cafites on them.

reelworld: 17/0/6

Playoff stats - points/rebounds/assists

Best performance

  • hobbers: 36.9 GameScore with 39/5/4 (+4 steals and 3 blocks) in an 85-115 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1st Round
  • Dan: 13.7 GmSc with 12/5/6 (+2 steals) in an 85-98 loss to the Seattle Supersonics in the 1st Round
  • Samid: 28.5 GmSc with 38/1/0 (+ a bruised shoulder) in a 106-99 win over the New Orleans Hornets in the 1st Round
  • The Cat: 4.5 GmSc with 7/2/3 (only game played due to injury, and still injured)
  • reelworld: 23.3 GmSc with 17/3/14 in a 107-86 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Finals
  • Salt Bailly: 21.4 GmSc with 15/18/2 (+4 steals and 3 blocks) in an 80-98 loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the 1st Round
  • Solius: 41.0 GmSc with 50/5/13 (+6 steals) in a 108-115 loss to the New Orleans Hornets in the 2nd Round
  • altodevil: 27.5 GmSc with 0/31/2 (+6 steals and 9 blocks) in a 96-80 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1st Round

Sometime before the stat change can I get an overall view of my team's players please?
Sure, but it'll be before free transfer and natural stat changes (which also means your player might change independently of your changes).

I've decided to change it a bit, but basically to re-cap: anyone who wants to will be allowed to move up to 50 ratings points around. That means if you add a total of 35 somewhere, you have to deduct a total of 35 somewhere else. I will also not allow height changes or free throw changes. You can add or remove a maximum of 15 per attribute (but you decide how to distribute, so you can remove 5 (this didn't say 4 earlier, what do you mean? I'm good at maths) from one thing and 7 from another, and add 12 to something else, for example).

It's completely optional, and is not at all guaranteed to make your player actually better.

04/05 Season Review

Champions: Philadelphia 76ers

Most successful Cafite: reelworld, made the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns

Full playoffs

Regular season standings

Season Awards

Lots of familiar faces in the teams. altodevil and hobbers in the All-Defensive 1st Team, with Salt Bailly making the 2nd Team. Solius, hobbers and altodevil all featured in the All-NBA 1st Team, with @Dr. Dwayne in the 2nd and BenitoSTARR and V.O. in the 3rd.

Congratulations to Solius for winning MVP! If you were curious, I can 100% confirm that hobbers was on track to win it until and actually well into his injury. In the end it allowed Solius to pull away. But at least hobbers won Most Improved Player :confused: (The Cat was runner-up for that award).

Easy for you to say, you struck gold, and kept improving. The game basically decided you get to be good, so this is a carrot to the rest.

But they might make themselves worse, so in that case you can point and laugh.
I’m just being a grump hammer.

Remember to get any changes you want to make (following the rules I set out) by tomorrow, I might roll over into preseason then. I can still change you right up until I actually start running the season, but it's easier this way.

2005 Draft and Free Agency (and also statistical feats, which I forgot for the season review).

@Dr. Dwayne
@P-Nut
@sebsheep
@BenitoSTARR
@weetee
@Samid
@Solius

@hobbers (5x5 king), @altodevil (rebound king), @oneniltothearsenal (triple double king)

Draft (almost all of these are via another team, so it seems like none of the bad teams had their own draft picks - except Portland)

  1. Chris Paul (PG 66/81) to the Milwaukee Bucks
  2. Marvin Williams (F 49/73) to the Los Angeles Lakers
  3. Raymond Felton (G 57/70) to the Cleveland Cavaliers
  4. Martell Webster (SF 47/72) to the Los Angeles Lakers
  5. Charlie Villanueva (PF 56/67) to the Portland Trailblazers
  6. Gerald Green (GF 43/69) to the Portland Trailblazers
  7. Andrew Bogut (FC 54/68) to the Indiana Pacers
  8. C.J. Miles (GF 41/72) to the Milwaukee Bucks
  9. Channing Frye (FC 53/66) to the Washington Wizards
  10. Luther Head (G 54/62) to the Sacramento Kings

Free Agency

Samid

P-Nut (he actually went into free agency and then signed with the Grizzlies again, instead of re-signing like Samid)

Solius

Pre-season trades

Nature abhors a vacuum, and Solius abhors not having any Cafite teammates.

Samid - 4th different team for Solius

oneniltothearsenal
- good news/bad news situation here. Good news: you made it to Seattle. Bad news: Solius, Kevin Garnett and Amar'e Stoudemire are no longer on it.

Wait so we had two top-4 picks and didn't pick the best players to win now. For god sake. So close to CP3.

Imagine being a Sonics fan. Management should fear for their lives. Did they even stop being a non-profit organization at least, @nimic ? Let‘s hope so.

It's you and some people I have never heard of, like Scott Padgett, Terence Morris, Calbert Cheaney, Jason Williams and Zydrunas Ilgauskas.
I'm going to make my son now :lol:
