He was looking for a pass back, sure. Why wouldn’t he? It would be stupid to not to provide the option. But to entertain the thought that he gave Amad a pass in such a way to force the ball back to him for self-serving purposes is ridiculous; which is what you insinuated with you “cynical view” of the pass.
I know it's not easy to admit that you had a bit of an episode earlier when overreacting to an innocuous post on the caf, but it might do you some good to at least admit you misinterpreted the post instead of opting for a flimsy rebuttal of "well actually, you insinuated this".

I’m done with you, last comment - so go on, have your last word.

It's great that the whole match is available to watch whenever I want, but holy feck that Martin Tyler commentary almost ruins it. No excitement at all at any of United's goals, not even the last minute winner. He sounds like he's at a funeral.

Liverpool fans still whinge about his commentary for Martial's debut goal, which has likely been fed back to him, so I reckon he's intentionally dialled it down for this fixture as we all know they're a sensitive bunch. Either that or age has taken it's toll on him.

It looks like he was genuinely sad when Man Utd scored.

I looked at it again, too; spot on comment. The winner especially. My other observation was what a great game Maguire had. I mean everyone did exceptionally well, but HM was positively heroic. Liverpool had their period of dominance in the second half, yes. But for a good part of the game they were well ruffled. Their two deflected goals were jammy as feck.

Yeah I listened to it and was like “wtf is this”
Apparently though he is now doing commentary from his house for international feeds. So that might offer some explanation.
