Everything happening with UNRWA has been in full coordination with the US, there are no coincidences here.

More warnings. :houllier:

It's a sick joke. This type of behaviour should be a catalyst for political change in the west. Surely we must understand now that our elected "representatives" no longer represent us, this just lays it bare and for all to see.

All those warnings about a ground invasion while Rafah is being bombed every day and no one talks about what's happening at Al Shifa.

It is going to get even worse. I am convinced Trump will win the next election.

It's hard to believe that any Western nation can find an excuse to support Israeli action. Or an excuse to not condemn it. The British had to manufacture a meta-event in parliament to avoid the otherwise inevitable condemnation.

2% of the population may yet be dead and 50% of all buildings destroyed if this goes ahead. Already genocide. History will condemn all who take part. The US especially because of its unique relationship with Israel.

A few years back, when young people from the West went to join ISIS, I was shocked and couldn't understand it. Some were women, too! How is this possible? To leave London and go to Syria to join some stupid terrorists! Why? I couldn't understand it. And I thought it was just a small minority that had these ideas.
ISIS is/was funded by the governments which claim to be outraged that citizens leave to join them. On funding, as in Syria and various other places where the US and other states covertly used (and still use) such extremist forces.

Anyway, Israel is committing genocide.

This took a turn.
Aside from a personal crusade, it's the usual "deflect and distract" tactics used by Israel's hardcore supporters when things get too hot.

He makes gtfactor86 look like a nuanced poster. People truly shouldn't take the bait.

What's this then?

The issue of rape perpetrated by Israelis has been documented and corroborated by 3rd party sources:

There's the first tweet I posted - news article here:
Israeli general says US official accused army of sexually abusing Palestinian women | Middle East Eye

There's this from a State Dept official from December as well:

There's detained Palestinians routinely being sexually abused and tortured:
Palestinians ‘beaten and sexually assaulted’ at Israeli detention centres, UN report claims | Israel | The Guardian
Palestinian women and girls raped and sexually assaulted in Israeli detention, UN experts say | Middle East Eye

Palestinian children also sexually abused and tortured:
Palestinian children abused in Israeli detention: NGO | News | Al Jazeera

That the extreme right is controlling the govenment because Netanyahu is bowing to them as he needs them in order to remain as PM, which is the most important thing for him. They are loving it, and enjoy sticking fingers into the eyes of everyone. They don't care about the consequences. They'd love for the middle east to burn.
Pretty much agree with all of this.

Not to excuse or dismiss the severity of such activity but it's really not a surprise that such offences have taken place. It happens in every war and given the tone from the top it's creating a situation that supports 'normal' Israeli soldiers becoming depraved and committing such acts. It would be out of the norm if it wasn't happening.

Hopefully not only the soldiers but the enabling command structure is held to account.

Jewish settlers set their sights on Gaza beachfront

Who wouldn't want a house on the beach? For some on Israel's far-right, desirable beachfront now includes the sands of Gaza.
Just ask Daniella Weiss, 78, the grandmother of Israel's settler movement, who says she already has a list of 500 families ready to move to Gaza immediately.
"I have friends in Tel Aviv," she says, "so they say, 'Don't forget to keep for me a plot near the coast in Gaza,' because it's a beautiful, beautiful coast, beautiful golden sand".
She tells them the plots on the coast are already booked.
Mrs Weiss heads a radical settler organisation called Nachala, or homeland. For decades, she has been kickstarting Jewish settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, on Palestinian land captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war.
Some in the settler movement have cherished the dream - or pipedream - of returning to Gaza since 2005, when Israel ordered a unilateral pullout, 21 settlements were dismantled and about 9,000 settlers were evacuated by the army. (Reporting from Gaza at the time, I saw many who were literally dragged out.)

Disgusting human beings.

107 killed in the last 24 hours, we are up to 32333 murdered and 74694 injured.

32 were murdered after bombing homes in Rafah, 23 of them were children and women.

What's this then?

What's the point of this? One guy, without sourcing, claiming one specific instance of alleged rape was made up as a response to posts about corroborated reports on systematic rape over years? Maybe put a little more thought into the random tweets you post.

What do you mean "as a response" to corroborated reports? I didn't post it as if to downplay or dismiss the other sources.

We shouldn't scrutinize or mention potential
misreporting on Al Jazeera's side?

It did seem to be in response to the post above yours.

This is apparently the final version of the resolution they will vote on. It's going to pass with the US and UK abstaining.

@frostbite

What is the purpose behind your posts? I would also consider myself to be an ex-muslim and I have no love for Islam but I don't see how that excuses anything Israel are doing in Gaza and the West Bank.

Are you trying to maybe switch the conversation away from Israel's latest atrocities? Pretty pathetic if that's your intention.
They're nothing but a distraction and an attempt to steer the conversation away from the brutal onslaught Israel is committing. That's pretty much been his modus on this thread - hit and run posting some off topic Islamophobia content, disappearing and doing the same again a couple pages later. Best to just ignore him.

The UN Security Council has voted to call for ceasefire. The U.S. abstained.

Way overdue!

I mean, you did write ‘what’s this then’ in response to my post as well.
I can see how it came across as a direct response to you. The "what's this then" was meant towards my tweet.

But generally speaking I quote a post if I want to respond to it. I like to think I'm consistent on that.

Can this be enforced on Israel?
I doubt it, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Netanyahu is threatening not to send the Israeli delegation to Washington DC. It’s time that America (and the world) start telling Israel: don’t threaten us. A country of less than 10M people shouldn’t talk this war to a superpower. I was in favor of U.S. aid to eradicate Hamas, and remain supportive of that, but I’m tired of Israel completely ignoring what the U.S. is saying. Just tired.
