This match illustrates the issue I have with Wirtz and Musiala starting on the wing, it makes us very narrow and much easier to defend against if the opponet plays 3 at the back. There was such a big difference when Fuhrich came on and actually played like a winger with Raum. The defense was completely exposed with Raum and Fuhrich going wide, it stretched the 3 man central defence and therefore gave more room for Muller to operate and play incise passes. Ultimately, we weren't able to score from those openings but the momentum was clearly shifted to us when Fuhrich came on.

Shame it's the last match before June, don't think Nagelsmann will change this formation before the Euros unless something drastic happens, but the lack of width is worrying.
I just hope Nagelsmann will fix it quickly enough. Considering that Nagelsmann talked about a "first 13" I actually think that a striker (Füllkrug instead of Havertz) and a winger (Sane or Führich instead of one of the triple 10s) will play depending on the match.

Let's do the thing where we say we should have listened to him and bought all his transfer ideas again, always a fun topic that doesn't go round in circles at all;)
Nah.

I don't think one has to bring up the United stint while recognizing he does an outstanding job with Austria.

He been slowly turning it around for himself recently?

I haven't watched much Chelsea but it sounds like he's been pretty good the last few weeks.
Not sure what position he played tonight but I'm pretty sure he's been playing in the 10 role for Chelsea of late. Maybe thats a reason as to why he's been better.

What was the point of calling Ramsey up, training ground mascot?

Fancy Szczesny to save two Welsh penalties as he's had a very solid game.

I wonder if being at home is an advantage in this situation. Debatable. There are probably statistics on such a thing.

Nice singing, good spirit that. Could've been a world power if only they'd discovered vowels.

Even though I have watched the Wales game on S4C, have no clue what has been said, Its still far better than listening to anything Sam Matterface commentates on.

That penalty was ridiculous, but Spain was much better anyway.

I hate modern penalties. What was wrong with stopping the kicker stagger their run? It moves the bar too far in favour of the kicker.
