He’s improved so much this season.
Not watching currently but I have said this a couple of times this season. Him and Missin have been the most improved players this season for me.

I've liked Wheatley since I first saw him this season, glad to see he's continuing to improve.

Exciting to see so many good forwards and midfielders coming through. Big fan of Williams personally and yet there's a case that he's our 3rd or even 4th best U18 winger at the moment!

1-4 poor defending from us and Bradshaw through on goal

Nah - he is the best of our wingers. Lacey and Missin are both very talented - but in terms of impact, they are far behind Williams .. at least for now.

I agree with this. In terms of raw talent Lacey was up there during the early parts of the season but even then I had concerns about his workrate. Missin was absolutely lost when he was playing on the right wing and had quite a few games where he had no impact.

Ethan Williams' two-footedness gives him a huge advantage and he has now clearly taken over Lacey spot as the best winger talent at the club for me.

What I like about Williams is that he is so direct - and he is dangerous with his left foot

Williams is best as a goal scoring winger but I prefer the creative ones for wide positions. Lacey has the edge there for me. I agree though that he needs to up his off the ball work to fit into a team which is big on pressing to get the ball back.

Kamason is a really good rb, good balance on the right side with him and Mantato. I like them both.

What an amazing opening half hour! And didn't deserve to 'lose' last third 1-0, as we continued to create chances to score even more!

Great effort from so many of our players.

I wondered if Liverpool's CB partnership - Lucky Pitt - was a rhyming slang homage to their CB from our last meeting who somehow avoided a red card!

The strange thing about this game is that we have been poor inside Liverpools penalty-area. We should have had 3-4 more goals

Just like the last game between the two teams, everything Liverpool produce comes due to Nolan just letting them take shots. Like watching Lindelof.

5-1 Wheatley -but he needs to share that with Nolan- Brilliant run and pass. Wheatley slots it into the empty net after taking the ball past the keeper

Nice composure from Wheatley to score there. Even in the 2nd half we could have scored another goal.

Scanlon 6-1 -Williams dribbles his way out of defence. Finds Fletcher who plays Scanlon through - he puts one defender on his backside and slots home

Very composed finish. Nice to see Fletcher back, an assist on his comeback.

Brilliant brilliant goal all around. Good work from Williams to start us off and wonderful pass from Fletcher to slot in Scanlon and he does well with his finish. 6-1 now.

I wonder if the international break has given Scanlon a boost in confidence. Now he's got a few headlines and generated a bit of hype, first game back and he scores twice with two pretty good goals.
