Not exactly talking about this Arsenal game but Villa at times looks like that Barca period where evreything "looked" it was Ter Stegen+Messi, with Martinez+ Watkins, one being constantly raided by the rival and the other constantly raiding the rival.

Says it all. Haven't been really a rival for us for almost two decades but you care more about annoying Arsenal fans on social media than City winning everything every year

Gives you a great chance, once it starts going wrong for Arsenal they go to pieces usually.
Unfortunately, we got Gnabry, Coman and Davies possibly also Sané and Neuer out for the second leg. Injuries aren't kind to us this season. 25 muscle injuries alone.

Oh no, the fun police is here. Don't laugh at Arsenal bottling it. Think about the consequences, please!

Arsenal and Liverpool bottling it is objectively funny, irrespective of who wins the league.

Were you actively supporting Arsenal today?

You guys are a good side! Enjoyed watching you guys control the game today.
Not so much first half when Arsenal wasted so much!

Second half was much more like the standards we were hitting between September-December. Kept things tighter and you could sense we were getting stronger while Arsenal were starting to fall away.

This is world's away from the rubbish Gerrard was producing just 18 months ago with largely the same squad so shows the difference between a world class coach and a chancer.

City mean very little to a United fan.

Liverpool is always the number one rival and we weren't close to them in the 70s and 80s and they weren't close to us for even longer after that and Arsenal is no.2.
We haven't exactly been a rival to City for a decade and City have been pretty irrelevant except for the late 60s and recently.

Then why do you prefer City winning it? You can keep telling yourself that they don't matter, but 99% of people don't view it that way. Unless they get punished there won't be an asterix next to their achievements for the overwhelming majority of people. It will be greatest team of all time, greatest manager of all time, back-to-back trebles, matching United's CLs, winning 4+ league titles in a row, instead of authoritarian state-funded cnuts couldn't even win with a bottomless pit of blood money, they had to cook the books as well.

...says who? For you maybe, but it's subjective. Nobody at Arsenal is still there from 2004, it's embarrassing and bitter to be still concerned about those days. Calling City irrelevant is just copium because you fear they won't be punished

I support United

Pathetic twerking for City going on here, very frustrating
Nobody aside from the media, gives 2 sh1ts if City win the league. Nobody celebrates their accolades, everybody knows they've cheated to get where they are and don't deserve the success they are having. They are an artificial creation with the cheat mode on and are being investigated for financial doping.

The only positive about them is they potentially stop Arsenal or Liverpool from collecting silverware. Either of those teams winning is hard to take, more than City.

Unfortunately, City is so far ahead from Man Utd that people feel there is no chance for us to catch up with them any time soon. It is like they are in a completely different planet, even with SAF we were never dominant like this so it feels they belong in a different league altogether. But if Arsenal or Liverpool win it, it would mean that they are also doing extremely well, and naturally United fans do not want this. That's why some Man Utd fans are happy with City winning it. Perhaps it's pathetic, but it's understandable...

Shit weekend. Very likely City are getting two trebles in a row and will cement themselves the greatest team England have ever seen.

For football fans who know what City are, sure.

Eventually, the majority of football fans will be people who weren't even born at the time of the Abu Dhabi takeover and they won't even be aware that City are just the product of blood money coming from a middle eastern dictatorship that's stuck in the 1700s judging by their penal code.

It's not United fans being happy City winning it but the least worst option of the three and we know it hasn't been achieved fairly.

Of course they do.

1. Most adult United fans still remember the rivalry. It was pure hatred back then.

2. Arsenal is the third most popular club in Norway behind United and Liverpool. I see plenty of ‘em in real life. On the other hand I don’t know a SINGLE City fan. I honestly don’t think I’ve even seen a single shirt in my home town.

3. It’s Arsenal ffs. They’re not supposed to be up there.

Edit: We’re not allowed to shorten «in real life» on here? Wow.

We have the same opinion on City, it's just that I think you overestimate how much people care about the politics and cheating behind their success. And with time, there will just be more and more ignorant and/or clueless people supporting them, that don't even know who owns them.

I don't think this PL is over yet.
More of these results may happen.
