If ten Hag was sacked tonight, who would you have as an interim?

Genuinely, jokes aside - reading this thread reminds me how uninformed the majority of our fanbase are. I don't think I've seen a single 'sensible' post.

Have you actually just gone and posted "everyone is stupid except me" without a hint of irony?

In reality it doesnt really matter apart from hoping for a slight bounce giving us a better chance in the final.

It would just be good to see Ineos set out there stall for what will and won't be accepted performance wise.

I think the only ex player interim I’d go for is Carrick but he has a job right now.

That's easy. Do what FM does and put the academy head as the caretaker manager. Cox in. :wenger:

The club should hold a lottery and sell 100m tickets at £2 a go. The winning ticket holder gets to manage the team till the end of the season and we improve our FFP.

I don't think a new manager would make much difference. The squad is in a very badly executed transition where there is no midfield or defensive solidity. They would have to revert to low block counter attacking but having already blown the season, what would be the point of that? Going forward can't happen till the summer and going backward is going backward. Might as well keep ETH till June. It's not like City will struggle to pan us.

Should have sacked him in November. Should have sacked him when the partial takeover was confirmed.

We are stuck with him till end of season.

You couldn’t just sack him tonight and bring in a new manager at such short notice. The players would have no shape or cohesion, it’d look like the attackers would have no idea what to do and the new guy would have no idea about who to bring on or when.
Irony.

Queiroz.

Honestly though, it could be worth bringing in as pragmatic a manager as is available just to give us a chance in the final.
If they’ve decided they are sacking him regardless, it’ll save us getting twatted 6-0 against the Abu Dhabi project.

So people want to replace United's second worst manager with the first. Great idea.

As if it would be this way round

Keane wouldn't be able to do the press. He'd be a great enforcer in the changing room and on the training pitch though.

Can you imagine? I reckon him and Casemiro would be trading blows within 30 mins.

Thank goodness we have a man of your great intellect and footballing knowledge around to steer us away from the idea of appointing Al Pacino, Joe Kinnear or God. Those posters should and no doubt will be embarrassed.

Not only that but he didnt even give us his genius correct suggestion either

Well the obvious post is Maclaren but where is the fun in talking about that.

Ole. He had us playing better football than the tactical genius that Eth is supposed to.

This team doesn't have the individual ability of Pogba, Martial, and Rashford in 18/19 with some experienced heads for Ole to come in and improve them just by walking in.

The current squad needs a structure and a plan, Ole would be the same as when Chelsea hired Lampard again.

Feck an interim pick - go out and take the manager we want tomorrow. Getting in now will give him perfect insight into the job he needs to be a part of doing in the summer.

Just bring back every living United manager ever - Avengers: Endgame style for the showdown against 115.

Imagine the crowd losing it when Sir Alex steps out of the portal.

I’m deadly serious,
Anyone

But Potter and Zidane are available.
I’d also go and have a conversation with Ancelotti.

If Ineos truly have the intent to get us back to where we should be, today's performance, on top of all the others this season, should be a sackable offence

They will sack him when we mathematically cannot get CL football so the lawyers don't have to include any discussion of his bonuses when they kick him out.

Who would be able to get one over on Pep?

Mourinho?
Fergie?
Hodgson?
Loew?
Heyneckes?
Tuchel?
Nagelsmann?
Wout Weghorst?
Mark Goldbridge

We have literally nothing left to fight for. Only a crazy person can think we are beating City in FA Cup final with this bunch of clowns, so it is the best to have an interim that can never in million years become permanent like Ole did, and at least there will be some fun irony and commercial success in appointing a youtuber as an interim. It really is a win-win scenario, if you think about it

That’s 1 win in 8, he’s gone and I think he knows it which is why he doesn’t give a f….

Needs sacking tonight, Jason Wilcox is a qualified coach he can take last 7 games and evaluate the squad.

Today was the final straw he has to go !

I think we could do shithouse job in the final personally, won’t happen but reckon Jose could come in and with a few weeks to train them, make it a game of pure shithousery.

Jose won't come for 6+1 games.

My fear with any interim would be that they come in & do a half decent job and then we stupidly hand them a full time contract like we did with Ole.

Why isn’t Ole on this list? Didn’t he beat pep 3 times in 1 season before.
