I'm taking my 2 kids to this, I'm expecting a swashbuckling display of liquid football, and a glut of goals. There has to be a game where we play well over 2 consecutive halves of football.

Good luck with that Big Andy! Swashbuckling and this United team don't go hand in hand unfortunately. Hope you and your kids enjoy the game nonetheless and please god they actually play some decent football.

If we fail to score more than 3 goals here then it’s massive disappointment.

Most people appear to looking forward to our next two home matches but because our form is somewhere between modest and rubbish I think we will struggle to get more than two points from the six available. Eyes on the FA cup final but that is futile when we are playing City. It’s very difficult to see how we will keep a clean sheet in any of our remaining games. End of season, and ten Hag, can’t come soon enough.

"Yeah, so we had a problem with Garnacho, that's why we took him off during the game but I think he will be fine," Ten Hag said at his press conference on Tuesday.

"Scott McTominay, we have to assess today. That is really doubtful. Marcus Rashford is also doubtful and then there was an issue with Bruno Fernandes, with the hand. But I think he can make it.”

They go a few times a season so they're used to seeing us play shite. They were at the Fulham game as well and that was dire.

Well, I'm going to this one.

The only other time I've seen them post SAF was against Bournemouth when we got battered so I'm not hopeful.

Even we can't lose this game... right?

    ...right?
Would it be anymore shocking than blowing a 3-0 lead to Covenbloodytry, conceding two injury time goals to a Chelsea side that generally struggle to finish their dinner, or losing to Fulham in the last minute of the game as just recent examples.

We'd be here all day if we listed every calamitous event that's happened this season. I don't think anything should shock us at this rate. Well, bar a composed 90 minute performance from ourselves. Now that would be a surprise!

So what XI could we even put out? We have Martinez, Shaw, Lindelof, Kambwala, Malacia, Evans, Mctominay, Rashford, Martial, Antony, Amrabat, Mount....

    Something like:

    Onana
    Dalot Maguire Casemiro AWB
    Mainoo Eriksen?
    Amad Bruno Garnacho
    Hojlund

Hopefully we can win and push towards 6th spot, which would guarantee us Europa League instead of the Conference League. It's not impossible for us to overtake Newcastle and keep Chelsea behind.

An other tough game after an embarassing FA Cup disaster.

120 mins with almost no available players on the bench.

It's almost funny when people paint the injuries as bad luck at this point.

McTominay had one training session before Coventry and played 103 minutes. Hardly a shock when he gets injured again. Maguire didn't train and played 120.

We've repeatedly rushed players back this season and the results have been predictable. Same thing happened with Martinez and Shaw. That isn't bad luck, that's negligence.

Mama always said, "watching Manchester United is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get."
Well said Mrs. Gump, let's see if we turn up and smash the worst team in the league or if we somehow make they look somewhat decent.

Should be 3 points. Should be.

Please ten hag see some sense and play Amad ahead of Antony. The rest is most just fitness dependent. Well, also playing dalot left instead of AWB on the left.

Gonna have to be Eriksen isn't it? I mean there's no one else. You'd hope that would mean ETH would relax his tactical approach so Eriksen isn't shattered after 15 minutes, I somehow doubt that happens.

Manchester United are Coffee revels. You want the nice ones, but inevitably get the shit ones more often than not and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

You shouldn’t have any worries really. While our performances have picked up lately, this match will likely be the final nail in the coffin and the players will know it. Very weak minded and an early goal will open the floodgates.

I shall still have a nice time in Manchester though regardless of the score.
    That sounds ominous.

With a bit of luck, we might play well and score a few goals too.

Easiest game this season. At home against the worst defense since Swindon Town. Use it to take the pressure off a bit.

    4:1.

We'll get more injuries. I wouldn't be surprised if we have Onana in midfield for the final.
He’s got to get AWB at right back and Dalot at Left Back. Can’t see Rashford or Mctominay being fit, who starts have we got any CB’s fit, if we play kids they’ll get physically abused by a poor footballing side but they are physical.

I genuinely think this might be another disaster 1-2, 1-1 or 0-1, ETH just doesn’t know how to rotate his squad, Amad looks like he’s got a goal or an assist in him but gets no minutes?

We have nothing to win or lose this season.
We should not play anyone who is not likely to be here next season
Some players like AWB should not be here next season or at most as a backup
Give Bruno a rest for a couple of games to build up energy for the cup final

    Onana
    Diego Kingdom Willi Amass
    Kobbie Amad
    Mason
    Williams Rasmaus or Wheatley Garnacho

Give Amad a run at 8 alongside Kobbie. He has showm he can track back, tackle and energtic. I think his best position is 10 but faces competition from Mason and Bruno

We don’t seem to have too many options for this. I’d go with the following, assuming we still have no other CBs, as playing a really attacking LB seems a sensible step to take for Sheffield Utd at home, when we don’t have an actual left back available:

    Onana

    Dalot
    Maguire
    Casemiro
    Antony

    Mainoo
    Amrabat
    Bruno

    Amad
    Hojlund
    Garnacho

Maguire, Casemiro, Antony, Amrabat will not be here net season. They should not play again. We are not in the running for anything. Give some of the the fabulous youth team a chance to see what they are made of

Yes we have. We've got a battle to secure a European spot - just not the CL. And we have a cup final to prepare for. Two important things yet to play for this season. Just because we're not competing for the PL or CL doesn't mean our season is already 'over'.

I'm not sure if the rules have changed, but from what I can remember from the old days, City will qualify for the CL, so if we win or lose the Cup Final we would be playing in the second European Competition anyway

The rules have changed. If the FA Cup winner has already qualified for Europe through league position, then the EL place goes to the highest ranked team based on league position.

So it still indirectly helps us that we'd be losing to City, as it means an extra Euro spot to play for in that 6th-9th battle. But we still can't afford to finish too low in that otherwise we'd miss out on Europe entirely.
