The did something similar way back in the day. All refs should have live mics and it should be broadcast live as well.

100%. They’d need to really crack down on the profanity first.

Nah. Just make the option on Sky PG or 15.

I can watch an 18 film on Sky at 11am. Why can't I hear a player called a ref a "blind cnut"?
I’m not sure pornography is permitted?

But it will not be broadcasted live because it is only for private PGMOL viewing, where they can play it back and laugh at how United won a penalty and referee looked right at it and did not give a penalty.

The agenda has been clear for so long. Yet some would have you believe it's tinfoil hat stuff.

I dunno if you have different rules in England, but surely 100% of referees blow their whistle if you jump into a keeper in the 6 yard box?

Ref clearly didn't see it and var didn't want to know. Henderson the useless cnut got away with that.

You are allowed to be physical with the goalie unless it’s with much force. It wasn’t.

How the feck is that not a goal? Hojlund simply jumps beside him and the keeper is weak.
No way would the ref disallow that if it was down the other end.

Theres no way Onana would have got away with that.

Again, we have been awful this season, and the fact that we have is the only reason the officials are getting away with these calls. It is by far the worst season in my lifetime for decisions against united, and its not even close. This same ref gave the two softest penalties you might ever see to chelsea at stamford bridge last month. Over and over again Ill say it, if its any way contentious, they rule against united due to the reaction if we get a call our way. Its pure and utter cowardice

Isn’t it great the ref is mic’d up for this so ewe can learn how he said oh he crashed into him there, that’s a foul, possible red card it was so bad!!

This is becoming an actual joke.

He jumps into him while he's trying to catch the ball. I only have the Dutch rulebook, but that says the keeper has a protected status in the 6 yards box and you cant physically impede them from getting the ball.

Though this rule book is like 2 years old, so I suppose it might as well have changed entirely by now :wenger:

exactly right. they ref by narrative and weak mentally, and almost all cowards. The anderson foul on hojlund for example, is a guaranteed yellow for casemiro.

I really am on the verge of just stopping watch, almost exclusively due to refs

I’d love to see a review of every VAR decision that United has been involved in, it’d be comical.

In England you’re allowed to be physical

There was a running joke in France when Wenger was a pundit for some games, where the other commentator would often ask him « is that a foul in England Arsene? »

If it is at all possible to make a call against United, or for United's opponents, the refs will always do it. The slightest doubt or question and the ref will always make whatever decision is a hindrance to United. We only get anything if there's absolutely zero room for any kind of doubt. Meanwhile, our opponents are afforded all the leniency in the world.

Because once or twice a season, some ref forgets to do the above and is publicly dragged through the mud for it.

Tiresome.

And people talk about Wolves. We are the only club where made up rules are being applied. Ridiculous and pathetic. Even more so when our club stays silent.

clubs should get given one at the end of every season. fair enough if its kept from the fans. Ive said it elsewhere, but var is there to justify terrible refereeing, and nothing else. That goal for example, you can stick it in slow mo and have an audio over the top saying 'yep he's made contact, no goal. correct on field decision.' But pretty much every person with half a brain can see that that level of contact happens to a keeper on pretty much 100% of corners.

Var has become a safety blanket, where the guys in the room rush to protect their incompetent pal.

We have that here too actually. Mostly after softish red cards. "They don't even call a foul for that in England", and the like.

There's a difference between jumping into him and jumping next to him and making slight contact.

There's no consequences for giving decisions against United but weeks of forensic and hyperbolic analysis, and criticism if they dare give a justifiable decision in favour of United. It's as simple as that. They are easily influenced individuals.

Add in the likes of Klopp exercising undue influence by coercing the referees to not give United penalties and City paying referees bribes.

Gillet has now reffed united for 5 and a half games.

He's given 4 penalties against, none for. Eleven yellows against, 7 to opposition. And disallowed that goal.

Its an incredible level of influence for one person to have in only 5.5 games.

If people cant remember the one against wolves, it was where Neto Olympian dived when casemiros shoelace grazed him. Then the two phantom penalties versus chelsea. And now that disallowed goal. Come on, seriously, all football fandom irrationality aside - how can anybody not think theres something off.

That's always gonna get given. Or at least 99 out of a 100. He clearly impedes on and it's basically on the line. Whether or not keepers should be that protected is another thing, but I'd have been shocked if it wasn't given as a foul.

I just cannot imagine that David “marginal gains” Brailsford will allow the club to ignore this situation.

Would have been controversial if VAR had overturned that one. One of those where the on-field decision determines the outcome. For me it was a foul.
