Arrange 'injuries' for Onana and Bayandir and get Tim Krul in on an emergency loan.

Yeah i'm still bitter.

Pretty obvious the match will depend on how compact we are and how effective the counter attack is. Pray that Garnacho, Rashford, Bruno are at their very best, that we have something resembling a back four and Casemiro and possibly Varane have one last big performance in them.

If you look at the last three league goals we've scored against City we'll need more of that if we're to win.

City not physically turning up for the game may just turn it in our favour.
We will still have 25 shots on our goal despite no opposition

I reckon we have the same chance Dr Strange gave Tony Stark in Infinity War. Out of 14,000,605 scenarios we win in 1 of them.

Never felt less confident going in to a final. That includes the 2011 CL final.

We have a chance if city play with 5 men. Haaland, de bruyne get injured. We have Martinez, Shaw back. We play defensive and on the counter.

Don’t think they turned up for the previous 2 games against us and still won comfortably. They wasn’t at their best by a long way.

I meant physically staying in Manchester and playing with no opposition

We're not defensively strong enough to shithouse our way to a 1-0 win, City will definitely score, so the only scenario I see us possibly winning is if it's a bit like the FA Cup tie with Liverpool.

So we start like men possessed for the first 10 minutes and possibly take an early lead. City score 2 to take the lead but get complacent and start overplaying instead of going for the kill. We get a late equaliser out of nowhere near the end, and extra time is a bit crazy, end to end that can go either way, but we score a winning goal on the break.

115 charges rule any player that played for City this season can’t play in the final. It think it’s a 50/50 game then we might smash them in penos 5-4

So the ref who was paid by the owners of city to take charge of a charity match in the mid east is also the ref in the final in which city are playing in?
Got it.

A manager with some sort of a connection to reality would be a start.

INEOS should appeal this ref appointment.
Mans going to spend the whole game looking for excuses to screw us over. If I was a betting man I'd be expecting at least 1 red card and / or penalty against prompted by VAR review.

Us being clinical with chance(s) we get and them missing few of them + Onana having a great day. 9 out of 10 times this United team in this state loses to this City team, guess we have to hope that one time will be in the final. I wasn't optimistic last year neither and that was after we had had a solid season.

Don't let City score early, the longer the game stays 0-0 the more it benefits United. City tend to lose when they get frustrated and can't get a hold of the game like they are used to and the opposition score and put them on tilt.

Hopefully we dont concede after 20 seconds this time. Think we defo need more luck than possible. And somehow being clinical from the 3 chances we will get all game whilst City are wasteful and shattered due to losing the league on the last day :nervous:

  • Bruno, Rashford and Garnacho are fit
  • ETH sets up to contain with 2 DMs
This squad has a chance of beating any big team in the world. If both those conditions are met, we can win but it'll be tough to watch.

Rodri gets injured?
By far their most pivotal player in controlling the flow of the game.

They have lasagna at the same place Tottenham had it, and they go down to 10 men, and we take 3 chances, and some refereeing howlers go in our favour.

I reckon given that we could edge them 3-2.

Realistically they could already be 3 or 4-up going into the tunnel on half time and I’m switching the telly off. Humiliation on the biggest stage in football! (That meaning Wembley Stadium)

That’s what I’m seeing and it wont go away.

Surely it can’t happen? We’re Man Utd ffs!

What if:

  • Shaw and Martinez are fully fit = back 4 intact!
  • Rashford back on the left and decides to put a shift in.
  • Garnacho down the right
  • Pep plays Ortego in goal

What’s needed to avoid the worst scenarios?

Feel free to add to the list.

Note: comments such as "DeBruyne falls off a cliff etc" will not be accepted.
Rashford putting in a shift is accepted as serious!
Agree with most except for Rashford. Yeah if we play counter then if Rashford puts in a shift he could be a difference. But I say feck it. Play Garnacho and Amad out wide we have nothing to lose, everything to gain.

Really hope we don't set up to fight fire with fire. The last game against them we actually set-up well, but failed as we didn't really have outlets to release even though City CB's were in our half and there were chances to break.

Back 4 - CDM (Case) LCM (Mount - to cover for Rashford) RCM Kobbie - Rash Hojlund Bruno

Set up with 2 banks of 4 while defending and have Rash and Hojlund ready to run when we get the ball. Unfortunately the only way I can see us getting any kind of result.

To stand a chance we need our big game players to show up and perform

if so, I predict a 1-0 win to United. Bruno with a peno
