I would be wary of signing players from clubs like Leverkusen or Atalanta that seem more about system making team look much more than the sum of it parts rather than brilliant individuals making up a world class team. They’d mostly just get lost in disjointed team of ours.

Also, kind of pointless looking at midfielders when our manager does not really believe in having a midfield.

He's too weird.

He's having a career best season playing as an unorthodox number ten, which we have a few of. So we either don't need him or we'd be reversing his development to play him deeper.

He shines as a CAM but he is just a quality player who can also plays welm as a CM or even DM. I would like him here, although I prefer other types of MFs more currently.

Didn't know he was now playing as a CAM. Last I saw of him he was playing CB. Seemed to have one of the best long passes around.

One of the TIFO "sensible transfer" suggestions from a few years ago when he was still in the Eredivisie, weren't he? Back then he seemed more of a CM? I'd imagine he'll cost a lot?

Really wouldn't risk it. When I see him for Atalanta, he does look silky and dominant (more so than I remember him at AZ), but he 100% lacks the physicality for the prem.

You guys should go after Xavi Simons if you're going for a Dutch midfielder

Is there any current young version of Seedorf? Now that's the type of midfielder I'd like at United.

Right here. He’s a quality versatile midfielder with a great engine and most importantly his drive and character are exemplary.

He’s played CB, DM, CM and now CAM he’s tactically incredibly intelligent and someone who would be a terrific option to have in the squad.

Worth pointing out though I don’t consider this a priority signing mind.

If he comes he’d be more of an Eriksen replacement and personally think he’ll be off to Liverpool to reunite with Slot.

I guess the closest thing would be Quinten Timber of the current crop? But he isn't likely United quality.

I like Ferguson but he's not at the level we require.

McSauce & McGinn are both ahead of him for Scotland for a reason.

Considering Koop has looked good in multiple different positions in different teams, I wouldn't consider him somebody who relies on a system.

He just had a bad injury. Not worth the risk.
