Its been a while since we've been so high up the table!

Amazing recovery after the unavoidable disaster start to the season.

Who knows where this season will end up!

We finished 2nd not that long ago did we not

Don't wanna get ahead of myself. Just happy we're progressing up the table well!

With the squad we have, we shouldn’t be surprised.

Not really. 5 points behind in reality after Newcastle lube up tomorrow.
not really what? We're 2nd regardless of what happens tomorrow andif Liverpool open up a gap it's because they've played a game more than us

It can change so quickly this season. Feels like a new team in 2nd every week.

we have a good squad relative to everyone else, just need to keep putting points on the board and hope Bruno can play every game.

Not vertigo but reading the forum it's clear than many are absolutely gutted. Sad miserable pricks will be tagging along whenever we do return to winning.

We did but we were quite a distant second then. Keep this form up, even if we're grinding out results and we're right in it.

Imagine where we would be with a good manager like Guardiola, Mourinho, Arteta or Lampard...

Can we stop patting ourselves on the back with these cringeworthy threads whenever we're second or third? Laughable.

Well, its the right time for a team to position itself in the top 2, no doubt about that. Sure, Aston Villa and Spurs can be proud of having been in that position earlier in the season but that is for smaller clubs. However, this is the right time to do it.

Win the next game against Villa and our game against Liverpool on the 17th will be for 1st place.

Beat Villa and confidence will be sky high, so who knows what can happen vs Liverpool? we can certainly beat them.

Why? Chelsea have a similar squad in strength, City have a similar squad to their 2 record breaking points wins and is still better than ours, just happens that we are playing slightly better at present. Spurs are a similar level to ours as well.

This.

Hope for United's sake that this doesn't turn out to be another premature whoop whoop j-fest.

Nonetheless, enjoyed that win tonight!

We heard it all in this thread:https://www.redcafe.net/threads/we-are-4th.459314/page-6. You are free to open a new moaning thread about accepting standards and having mentality. Les Miserables.

Well as they say grinding out shitty wins is a sign of champions :smirk:

So annoying we cheaply fecked up against Leicester, could be joint top! Also that game against Liverpool is gonna be huuuuge. Win that and I'll start to believe.

I'd be actually more confident of playing them than a team setting up as wolves today, provided that Klopp does not set up defensively against us, as he was usually doing against Jose's United.

It's great to be in this position again and having games that means something.

Big Sam even?

I'm made up with second. I refuse to believe we're in a title race, until we actually hit the top and/or beat the Scousers, but it's pleasing given after that Spurs match we were all bracing ourselves for a dire season.

But then we’ll have a game in hand which is scheduled for Burnley at home? not sure of your point

It’s 2 points after the same game‘s played and they’ve just picked up another defensive injury, anything can happen from here.

There is no better way to finish this year in this fashion. Enduring the whole 90 mins frustration and get a result at the end. Man, manutd is back!

Mental isn't it? We win and they do all kinds of mental gymnastics so they don't have to admit they're wrong about everything.
