3 wins, 7 draws, 3 losses in the Premier League. 16 goals for, 16 against.

Dropped points to the likes of:
Sunderland (1-1)
Burnley (0-0)
Leicester (3-5)
West Brom (2-2)
Man City (0-1)
Aston Villa (1-1)
Spurs (0-0)
Stoke (1-1)
West Ham (1-1)
Swansea (1-2)

Only wins came against
Arsenal (2-1)
Southampton (2-1)
QPR (2-0)

How are United so abysmal away from home, especially against teams we really ought to be beating?

Even in games where we play rather well (Spurs for example), United just fail to get the ball in the net. That's 16 points in 13 games. Compare that to other top 4 rivals (Arsenal with 21 in 14 games, Spurs with 20 in 12 games, Liverpool with 19 in 12 games and Southampton with 22 in 12 games) it's really a bit of an embarrassment.

That's not mentioning cup games either, like the 0-0 against Cambridge and the 4-0 loss to MK Dons (though the terrible team we put out is more to blame for that).

Sunderland, Burnley, West Brom(Under Irvine), Leicester, Villa and Swansea all games we should win.

Besides Leicester, the other games have been all the same. Create very little and their goalkeeper has nothing to do.

That is what happens when your squad is full of gutless players on big pay checks.
Yet last season we were gutless but 2nd best in the league away, and terrible at home.

It's weird because you would think that playing away should suit us somewhat as teams are more likely to open up a little and put less men behind the ball.

Breaking it down:
Sunderland - had a very poor team back then (Fletcher - Cleverley midfield!) so it's probably fair, never do that well against Sunderland anyway
Burnley - Di Maria's debut, team still wasn't that good but still really should have beat them
Leicester - complete capitulation, hopefully won't happen again
West Brom - should have won, we played quite well if I recall it was just two stupid defensive mistakes that gave it to them
City - didn't expect anything from this, could have got something had Smalling not been an idiot but oh well
Villa - should have won, they were down to 10 for the last 30 minutes and they still had the better chances
Spurs - should have won from that first half, crap finishing and Lloris stopped us
Stoke - tough game, team like ours should be winning it but a draw is probably fair
Swansea - should have won, for some reason decided to stop playing after conceding the 2nd

I mean it's really the same story in most of our recent away games. We can't seem to create a single god damn thing until we get Young out wide and we start hoofing to Fellaini.

I only hope that we're somehow better against the bigger teams, but even the Arsenal and Southampton games were incredible flukes.
