which could easily be extended to 7 winless in a row next game (stoke away). edit: ...and it did.

have we ever had this kind of run in recent years, even under moyes?

Was Watford our last win?

I'm pretty sure in the "nah that's bollocks that" interview Fergie said "you know we went X games without winning once" and it was some mad figure

He's a dead man walking. Just a question of who we want as a replacement and when he will be available.

We were lucky to beat Watford.

The last time we went 6 straight games without a win was in December 98.

3-2 loss to Spurs in the League Cup
1-1 against Villa in the league
1-1 against Bayern in the CL
2-2 against Spurs in the league
1-1 against Chelsea int the league
and a 3-2 loss to Middlesbrough in the league.

We all know how that season ended up. :)

The thing with that run is we didn't care about the Spurs game, Villa were top of the league so 1-1 away was decent, we knew 1-1 with Bayern was enough to go through and the point against Chelsea wasn't that bad either. It's not as bad as our current run.

The Boro result in there was the real bad one and I'm pretty sure Sir Alex wasn't even at that game, we were managed by Jim Ryan that day.

It's not just this stretch of games. 1.5 years of watching LVG's sides and I don't see us evolving into a side that you know can be contenders. Not even a hint.

true. before it was the flurry of 0-0s and now this.

but this stretch of form is undoubtedly the worst we've come across under van gaal. which, if he isn't sacked by next week, could easily extend to 7 (stoke away) and possibly 8 (if chelsea gets their shit together w/hiddink) winless games.

I was going to start a new thread but this may be the right place. Based on the last six results does anyone think he has lost the dressing room? There was talk of Mourinho had, is that form over the last six games proof of LVG being in the same position? So many timid performances in those matches too

They left it four months late with Moyes and are about to leave it late again because we don't sack managers..

Sick of all the negativity. We managed six shots on target today. We're improving!

Statistically we've scored less goals every year since fergie left

I didn't think last seasons total could get worse but..

Well, we won the possession battle today (against Stoke), so in my book, thats as good as win. ;)
In fact, in my twisted mind, we got 3 points today!!!

The sooner we all accept that we are firmly a mid table club the better off we will all be.
