Aleksandar Dragovic

Some of the most important national team players already play for Leicester, Watford and Stoke.

He was linked to us not so long ago. I quite like the look of how he plays. Think he'd do well in the Prem.

I was hoping we would get him in the summer. Looks a solid player.

I think this is a sign that the PL will really strengthen ahead of other leagues in terms of overall quality of players in the next 2-3 years. It's now just upto the top 4-5 clubs to go after the top top players and showcase that strength in the CL.

He's got to be a step up from Huth, he was one of the only standout players of poor quality against City.

Would team up with Fuchs so that could make sense. I feel he should do better than Leicester though. We should be in for him.

people disappointed that we wont sign him.....who the feck watches Dynamo Kiev?

He played with Basel for years. He's a Swiss international for a number of years. Dynamo Kiev reached the final of the Europa League last year, and have been good for a number of years. It's not surprising people rate him and have seen him play. Likewise, there's a reason many people have been fans of Konoplynka and Yarmalenko.

You can't spend much time on here don't you know that the less we see a player the better he is, at least that is the case for United players and former United players, the longer they are out of the team the better they get. According to people on here the likes of Nani and RVP have become world beaters since they left us of course they moved to Turkey so no one watches them play but that just makes them better.

I think he's a brilliant talent. He's needed a new challenge for the last 2 seasons though.

basel, kiev.....its the same, nobody watch this leagues! Occasionally you might watch some european game but thats not enough and in this games its much easier to spot the attacking talents so thats why there are so many fans of Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka. As for Europa League, it was Dnipro not Dynamo Kiev.

True nobody watches the leagues regularly but people usually get a good impression. Between watching Basel in Europe and the Swiss, a lot of people have probably seen him play 6-7 times at least. Obviously it's not a good sample and proper scouts usually watch a player for months or years. But for regular people, they'll usually form an impression after 2-3 matches. Anyway, I agree with you in principle! People constantly make bad judgments after a handful of matches. But in this case , from what I've seen of Dragovic, I'd agree that he's a good defender and more than decent on the ball as well. Definitely a good options anyway.

And a lot of people watch matches from abroad when betting - only reason I've ever watched sides in Austria/Hungary etc anyway. I got mixed up between Dynamo and Dnipro but regardless, Kiev got the the quarters and knocked out Everton on the way. Which is pretty good going. They've gotten to the knockout stages frequently over the years too to be fair.

This is becoming a defender version of Gaitan.

An average player who always seems to be hours away from signing. Agent games and nothing more.

He's hands down Austrias best defender. If I had to choose between him or Alaba at CB (who plays there for Bayern at times) I'd choose him anyday.

I'm hoping this is true....

Has the potential to be a huge signing, I really hope there's some truth in this.

Is he actually that good? Leicester were pretty heavily linked to him the other week, no?

I have seen him play sometimes and he is a good defender. However, I prefer someone like Stones, Laporte, Marquinhos, Gimenez, Mustafi or Hummels. Maybe just Laporte could be available in January if we pay the release clause.

We need a center back, midfielder, right winger, No.10 and a striker... I would prefer to sign in those positions players like: Stones/Laporte, Gundogan/Barkley, Griezmann/Gotze, Sane/Moura and Kane/Lukaku. Even Mahrez and Mane can be really good reinforcements. In my opinion, all of them are better options than Dragovic, Saul, Felipe Anderson, Ighalo, etc.

I was thinking about him today. It probably makes too much sense for Van Gaal to do it though.

Don't know much about him, but wouldn't say no to reinforcement in CB.
