Walter Crickmer started it all...
Just heard some news about comings and goings at Antwerp....

Danny Simpson on loan to Cardiff
Jonny Evans on loan to Sunderland

David Gray and Ryan Shawcross to replace them at Antwerp.....

Sounds like good experience for all the lads concerned....

Thanks for the update. Yep, good moves all round, and especially for Simpson and Evans - let's hope both see plenty of action.

Yeah, I think Barnes and Sean Evans should go out and gain some first team experieces.

Ruud ftw
Can't help feeling a bit sorry for Antwerp - Gray and Shawcross in for Simpson and Evans is a bit like getting Danny Mills and Pascal Cygan in for Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand. Hope their fans don't get their hopes up.

I guess Antwerp requested/preferred direct like-for-like replacements, which limited the selection of players we had to send over. Would have much preferred to see Kieran Lee sent over instead of Gray really. Shawcross was probably the only option at centre-back, assuming it's a bit too early for Cathcart. Wonder if we might send a forward over to replace Dong?

Evans to sunderland could be great for him, but only if he starts about 75% of the games...

how old is Sean Evans now btw?

So is Gray strictly a defender now or is he still a jack-of-all-trades?
The staff seems to have decided to play him as a full-back.

The latest I heard was Antwerp in 2nd place in the Belgian second division. What are the rules of promotion in that league?

Might be a problem now though losing Evans, Dong, etc.

They have a whacky promotion system, check it out here

As for losing players, the agreement is that we will send them players as cover
