Two teams of similar quality but one team has chucked it.
Only one winnder here and it's Arsenal.

absolutely no doubt in my mind: we are losing this. although, I don't expect it to be 4-0... that said, this lot are capable of anything...

I'd like to see 9, 10 or 11 changes to the team. I ask again: have Cavani's legs dropped off or something? He's been out for ever while Varane is clearly related to Phil Jones

If we still have no midfielders then we're not winning this at all.

    Need Fred back ASAP.

We have reached the point of the history of the club that we miss Fred and Mctominay. Imagine that. We gave away a perfectly good central midfielder in Donny who actually wanted to be given a run and fight for the badge to keep a moody disinterested Paul Pogba in the team.

This sums up the club. Why are we pandering to Lingard and Pogba? They'd be nowhere near the first team under Fergie given their contract situations.

2-0 Arsenal I'll go for, these lot are a waste of time, no pride whatsoever.

Think after this game we'll be looking down the barrel at 4 losses in 5 games, with Chelsea coming up next Thurs.

Both teams in a pickle. United probably at a lower point with more players visibly checked out for the season.

Arsenal - got to a position of power in the top 4 race but losing far too many games now.

0-0 or 1-0 to them. Unless Ronaldo feels able to play (which he absolutely doesn't have to), we have no goalscoring threat imo.

Exactly if Ronaldo doesn't play we have 0.1% chances to score.

Would like to see Hannibal, Mata and Sancho come in.

I guess Telles too after that disaster from Dalot.

For Pogba, Elanga and Rashford I'm guessing. I'd be good with that and have Elanga replace Mata when he starts to tire. Problem is Matic probably needs a rest too. Time for dm Lindelof I think.

He runs like an arthritic pensioner but purely due to the fact he's the only player in the squad with a brain, i'd chuck Mata in. We can't rely on keeping the opposition out so we have to try and create something.

Norwich put two past this United side. If you really believe this lot are getting anything from this game then all the power to you but I could see five more losses.

We need to play half a dozen youngsters, at least we will actually see a side with some pride, courage, passion and fight, it worked under lvg in his last season against arsenal.

I don't want to see the apathetic Maguire and lindelof being easily bullied, give me jines and bailly over these two as they will at least show some agression. I don't want to see Fernandes throwing hissy fits and wasting possession over and over again, I don't want to see lingard and matic playing with both having one eye on leaving this summer, I don't want to see rashford just going through the motions.

Ronaldo for elanga if he makes himself available.

One of the very few games this season where we played pretty well in the reverse fixture. Despite going a goal down, from such a freak goal, we came back and actually looked like scoring, which can't always be said about our team these days.

Think RR will go back to a 4231, but we have to be careful. Despite Arsenal losing their last three, they use the wide areas well, and often create overloads, especially on the right with Odegaard and Saka. This is something we struggle with in particular, and could really hurt us if we don't do something about it tactically.

I'd love Fred and McTominay (he was on bench vs Liverpool) back for this one, as we need energy in midfield. I mean, it's a given for any player really, but we really need that dynamism to be able to help our full backs in the wide areas.

Based on what we have available, I'd play:

    De Gea
    Dalot Maguire Lindelof Wan-Bissaka
    McTominay Matic
    Lingard Bruno Sancho
    Rashford

Ronaldo won't be back so we won't score. Arsenal have been rubbish lately but with how pathetic our defence is they'll probably manage to win 1-0. Expecting a boring crap game anyway

    Apparently he trained today.

Five wins and we probably will finish fourth.

That said, I expect Arsenal to beat us comfortably at the weekend to end our season.

At least by the end of this we'll know for sure that top 4 has gone and we can actually switch off for the rest of the season

It's mad we've had more apologies than points this season from charlatan FC, so not expecting any here.

Looking at the remaining fixtures as the season has worn on you keep adjusting your targets. First you realize we are not in the title race so you hope for a cup, then the cups slip away and it is all about top 4 and remaining in the CL. Now we are toast as far as the CL is concerned we have one potential prize remaining and that is to make sure that Arsenal do not get top 4. I really dgaf if Spurs finish in 4th but it would eat me up to see Arsenal get there. Spurs have the clearest path and this is our chance to stick it to a rival and show some of the fight that was completely absent against Liverpool. Step one in providing that fight is to make sure that not a single one of the players who are out of contract this summer is in the squad and hopefully McTominay and Fred are recovered enough to put a little bit of bite back in the midfield.

It is a pretty poor show when our greatest ambition is to deny Arsenal top 4 but if that is the only achievable objective I will take it, I just don't want us to roll over for them. With their run in there is actually a decent chance that if we win this we will finish above them and there will definitely be some comedy value in the worst United team in the PL era finishing above an Arsenal side that the media has spent most of the season jizzing over for the magnificent job Lego Pep has supposedly done.

    Line up needs to be

    DDG

    AWB Lindelof Varane Fernandez

    McTominay Fred

    Elanga Bruno Sancho

    Ronaldo
AWB gets the nod over Dalot because he can actually tackle, play Bailly if Varane is not fit and start Hannibal if Fred is not fit. Off the bench should be Garnacho, Hannibal if he isn't starting and Shoretire.

Never in my 32 years supporting Utd have I wanted the season over so badly. Ill be watching, thats what we do but I really just want it over.

2-1 Arsenal. Maybe a slight hope of a draw, but after yesterdays performance, this team has already checked out.

Don’t care. But will still watch, and we will win. But don’t care for this group of players. And RR too. I can watch a ManUtd team lose all year, no problem. But no fight/defensive pussy tactics I will not accept. I recently traveled from the US to watch United play. Thats money I could have spent anywhere else. If I was served THAT from yesterday I would be fuming. Lose all you want but attack and show some fight and pride and respect for the ferking badge you’re wearing.

It's more about the ending season early bit.
Did you see him flatten Henderson? I want more of the same. I want our players burning from the inside about the disgraceful performance against Liverpool. I want them to tell Arsenal, “tell them I’m coming, and hell’s coming with me.” I want Hannibal to personally kick the shit out of someone.

Hopeful we can get something. Absolutely essential that we score first though, confidence is too low to come from behind against anyone.

This will be a more accurate way to look at this team. Arsenal are not a great team but they are very functional and have a set system - we are not functional and don’t seem to have a system but we definitely still have better players. Best we can hope for is we stabilise now, win this one probably lose to Chelsea and beat Brentford, Brighton, Palace whilst hoping Spurs drop points against Pool, Leicester, Arsenal and maybe a battling Burnley.

I will watch the game but with super limited expectations. After the limp performance against Liverpool I would make a lot of changes (depending on injuries and Ronaldo)

    De Gea

    Bailly
    Lindelof
    Varane
    Telles

    Matic
    McTominay

    Elanga
    Hannibal
    Sancho

    Ronaldo

Our true level, without CR7, is bottom of the table (we'd have lost the game against Norwich, had CR7 not played).
Ergo, I can't see us winning this match.
If we are VERY lucky, we'll draw.
If the luck equals out between us and AFC, we'll lose.

It's shocking that some people think we'll win even though the team has demonstrated that their form is that for a relegation candidate and I think our form is getting worse, not better.
