Anyone watching this? New German series about Berlin in the 1920s. Mix of all kind of elements: Political with the Weimarer Republik struggling, cultural, crime, psychological as in how soldiers of WW1 were struggling with PTSD while ignored by society.
Main plot is about a police detective sent to Berlin to investigate a porn ring run by the Russian mafia who're blackmailing the major of Cologne (later German chancellor Adenauer). It's also about the rise of the right wing, about a Trotsky conspiracy trying to bring down Stalin etc.

I think it's only in German right now but Sky UK has the rights I think, so maybe it's available with subtitles?

I just finished the 2nd season and it's pretty great! Cool setting(Berlin between WWI and WWII), good writing, complex characters, gripping action scenes.

There are 3 seasons out and I think a 4th is in production.

I watched the first 6-7 episodes and really liked it, but for some reason never got round to finishing. Definitely want to revisit it.

You almost finished the first season then(8 episodes).

I think season 2 is better, so if you liked the first season then you're in for a treat! You should probably start from the beginning again, though. Lots of small details that are easy to forget :p

Yeah I think I will - I remember it being very atmospheric, similar in a way to The Americans, which is one of my all-time favourite shows.
