So, that's it, the window is over. No Sancho or a first team RW. No CB or CDM. Romero, Rojo, Jones and Lingard still at the club. Most squad fillers merely on loan. To say it was a poor window is to be kind. Yet again, our manager has not received what he wanted.
But we do have a lot of interesting new players in, and - at the end of last season - we knew we had the foundations there in the first XI. Our options off the bench with the likes of VDB, Cavani and Telles are massively upgraded. Traore/Diallo in particular looks a real prospect. Our squad is undoubtedly stronger.
We are clearly at a low physically and mentally after a poor start to the EPL, and for the team to get back to where it was 3 month ago, we need to be positive and support them. The Glazers/Woodward are not going anywhere soon, especially without fans at OT. Any discontent just sets us back to where we were 18 months ago.
Let's make sure Ole isn't another sacrificial lamb to mask this board's inadequacies. Support the team, and enjoy the big games we've got coming up. We play some of the best teams around soon, games most clubs can only dream of playing in, and if you can't enjoy that you don't deserve to be supporting a club like Utd. Plus, who knows when we'll be in UCL again!
