Although there are stronger left backs who didn't make the cut (Lizarazu, Cabrini, Marzolini), in fairness to Grosso he probably had a better tournament in 2006 than anything Cristiano Ronaldo has managed yet.

Aye, I posted that after only seeing the goalkeepers and defenders but you're right about Cristiano Ronaldo being a strange inclusion. Just surprised they didn't throw Messi in while they were at it.
